Check the Wiki for the games that work with the gamepad. NSMBW doesn't work.

Well there goes my dream of playing Sonic Riders Zero Gravity on wii u.
It's honestly not that bad with the Wiimote, you can ignore tilting to turn and just use the directional pad, and then you only need to shake it once to activate Meteor Dive. That's how I've always played it on Wii U since it doesn't have the option to use GC, and I used to play it on PS2 with a controller, so take it from me when I say it could be worse.

Have anyone had problems with using the Afterglow Wii U Pro Controller along with the Gamepad?, it seems it doesnt detect the input well unless i enter trough the Wii Menu, but i would like to have Gamepad support too

I'm trying to make a forwarder for WiiSXR, but I keep seeing comments about it not working without a specific forwarder boot.dol or a specific script, but all the links have expired.

Does anyone have the forwarder or boot.dol for WiiSXR?

Thanks in advance.

if you already have a memory card file, you can rename it to ID4.raw (if you don't use the "multi" option), one memory card per game will be used based on the GameID4.
if you want to share the same memory card for multiple game, enable the "multi" option, and name the memory card ninmem.raw
as japanese games have incompatibilities (different memcard font, JIS/Ansi), japanese games will use ninmemj.raw

put the file to sd:/saves/

if your GCMM card doesn't work, you might have to create a new card (with dolphin, or SavegameManagerGX) and export your individual savegames (gci) to the new card.

I am trying to follow these instructions. If I understand "ID4" is the 4 letter identifies of the game, I am trying to do Super Mario Sunshine "GMSE" and Metroid Prime "GM8E". I used GCMM on my old Wii to backup saves from the memory card to my SD card. I then went to my Wii U memory card and found GMSE.raw and GM8E.raw and deleted them and replaced them with the files from the Wii SD card which I renamed to GMSE.raw and GM8E.raw

After doing this and testing the games both of them caused the Wii U to crash. Luigis Mansion I didn't change the .raw file and it ran fine. After deleting the Mario and Metroid saves the games launched fine again and I saw a screen showing Nintendont making a new memory card for them.

I don't understand how to do the instruction in the last sentence. Never used dolphin, Save Game Manager GX is Wii homebrew isn't it? Maybe I will try and see if I can find how to use that.

there are different backup format : the game data alone or the memory card with the game data on it (and other possible games too).
you need to be sure you don't use the "game alone" format, named to raw, but the full binary of a memory card with the game you want stored on it.

You can download Dolphin, and use the memory card manager menu to create a full card and copy game saves to it.
it will also generate a proper memory card format (it seems some full card have issues too, dolphin is generating proper format).

SaveGX is now compatible with both full card (bin/raw) and individual game data (gci). it should work if you create a new card and copy your savegame to that card.

Well I couldn't figure out how to use SaveGX, that's save game manager GX for Wii right? I couldn't figure out how to make it do anything gamecube related and I was even having trouble managing Wii Saves....I want to grab one from an emunand on USB but couldn't get it to recognize it. It even didn't read all my Wii Saves on my real Nand either, weird.

Anyway Dolphin turned out to be a super easy solution. My cheap PC no way I think it can even emultae anything with it but there was no setup or any issues using the memory card management feature. I was able to get the saves transferred over and working following the instructions I found in this thread

savegame Manager GX exists in two different version.
the old one, and a new beta version considered "test" before merging it into the main program.

Though, the test version looks just like an updated and newer version, I don't think there's anything wrong using it.

I'm glad you found how to use dolphin and could fix your memory card issue with it :)

This may be a common question but i'm very confused. I injected Project M (Brawl) into my Wii U but my gamecube adapter won't seem to work with it. I can't even get my gamepad to work with it. When I am creating the game to be injected and installed on my Wii U, are there some gamepad settings i need to change?

Wii games do not do not support Gamecube controllers when played on the wii u. even if you have the adapter...

Same problem here

Is it possible to retrieve the pre-generated titleID of a previously created game without having to download the ROM again? I installed a game long ago which is in japanese, I wanted to inject some translated files I found on it using FTPiiU but I can't without knowing the titleID of the game.

Just wondering if on Gamecube titles can the pro contoller be used? I know Nintendont supports it, but when I say No to using the gamepad it only try to detect Wii Remote. Pro controller shows up as player 2 and can't control anything. I guess I can just use my classic controller connected to a wiimote if it's not possible. If I am playing on the TV the gamepad is a bit heavy plus its strange playing with double screens.

Remove the batteries from the wiimote when nintendont starts and then you can use wii u pro controller as player 1.

I have one question to ask, is there a way to use the Gamepad as a classic controller with other Wiimotes being connected? I'm trying to play Project M with my Gamepad as a classic controller, but I can't connect my other wiimotes. I chose the classic controller emulation when I built the file
