Am I the only one that wishes that game cards did NOT make separate icons on the menu? I would much rather the first block feature a game card silhouette and then populate an icon, once the card has been inserted into the console. It's just all sorts of confusing to have icons of all my game cards when only one card is in the system at a time. Sure, there aren't many Switch games now so it's not a pressing issue but once we have a whole arsenal of digital games on the eShop, this will quickly become a pain in the ass. Thoughts?

I quite like the tiles. Makes it easier to manage instead of having to go through settings every time. They're also bloody nice designs, I feel it a shame to only see them when I have the cart in.

I won't deny having the option to change the behaviour would be nice though.

I think they made it like that so that your home screen isn't empty if you only get physical, compared to if another person bought the same amount of games except digitally their home screen will be full and they did this so you both can see your games on the home menu?? That's how I see the reasoning behind this

The additional blocks could be filled with ads or little snippets from your news feed. Hell, considering that we have no menu music (essentially making the console feel dead), I wouldn't mind a few moving advertisements on my home screen.

I'm not trying to justify it I'm just throwing out ideas on nintendo's reasoning behind doing this

What hertic is this! Adds on my homescreen like the Sing icon on the PS3? No thank you :(.
This is fine as it is. When you insert a cart it automatically switches to that game in the first tile. So I do not see the problem.

Yeah I hate seeing advertisements, the less I can see the better I like that they're tucked away in the news category. The icons look really nice too so I personally like seeing both my shelf be filled up with physical games and also seeing them on my switch home menu, but thats just me
