Hacking new 3ds questions(for me)

Hey people of the community, I used to have an old 3ds and I had save files on it. Before I got rid of it I saved everything off the sd card and put it on my computer. I recently got a (new) new 3ds and have been thinking about installing homebrew on it, assuming its somewhat like the original wii softmod.

Question 1) If I was to take out the micro sd card from the new 3ds and put everything I pulled off the old 3ds, would my saves be okay to play?
(If not is there a way to play the saves after softmodded like from "backup saves"?)

Question 2) Do I have to have my old 3ds Nintendo account to play my old saves?

Question 3) Will my old Nintendo account pop up on new 3ds with the old 3ds sd files?

Question 4) I am thinking about softmodding the new 3ds, ntrboot method seems the best because I do have an old R4i 3DS RTS revolution for DS I believe gold flashcart I used to use for ds games, and I lucked out because that's what I need I believe. so can I achieve softmod/ homebrew on 11.6.0-39U?

Question 5) If I achieve softmod/homebrew I will not get band from stuff like pokemon bank of anything will I? (Not to play online with people just features that use online?)

1- you need the previous console as saves are encrypted per console. Without, the saves are useless.

2- no you dont.

3- you would need to transfer the account over to your new system. Without it you will need to contact nintendo as the NNID is saved server wise to nintendo.

4- check https://3ds.guide/ it will go over everything needed to softmod. Always remember to backup the firmware of the card before flashing it to make use of it afterwards

5- No. nothing to worry of for what your asking. Ban risk is more of cheating while online.

No, saves are encrypted per console. If you don't have your old console the files are unusable.

Yes, JKSM, if run on the console that created the saves.

Otherwise people could just install games on one console and copy paste the data for their friends, who wouldn't have to buy the game.

Reason I ask wasn't sure from where the link sent me I read and believe I can but not sure, just wanted some clarity.

2) my old r4i flash cart worked so is that the way I would mod is using that to run a file off of? (one method)

3) also curious from what I have been reading, something about freeshop? reason I ask is because I have some ds and 3ds that don't work, I was able to fix some by cleaning but not so fortunate with some. so does free shop let me download free games? I have the cartages so I hope its not illegal or anything.(i try to be respectful)

4) features like playing pokemon with my kid, pokemon bank, games I got from eshop will still be available after modding?

edit* I was going to use citra the 3ds emulator awhile back and didn't have a physical 3ds anymore, now I do should I set that up before modding if I choose to set it up on my laptop?

the picture of all the flash cart mine looks like the 3rd one from the top row. it says on case r4i 3ds,sd-hc, rts, gold. so im assuming it will work.

so I just download ntrboot, put it on microSD card and follow the guide?

also does freeshop have every game? or is it more of random games/ homemade games?

lol yes 3ds is better than an emulator, cool idea tho that caught my interest

edit* also does magnet have a chance off messing up my screen like a tv?

3. All games that have had their titlekeys shared. There are still obscure ones missing. It isn't for homebrew, you'll find that in FBI's TitleDB.

so I redownloaded the correct files.
so if I do the magnet step ur saying just close the 3ds? I thought u had to do the magnet and press buttons. (just a weird step if I have to do it, ill read again to make sure. im very unclear about the magnet step)
As far as games, what does shared titlekeys mean lol, and FBIs titlesDB what?

edit* do other people have issues with ds games/flashcarts not pooping up sometime when plugged in? (they work just sometimes is a pain, and worry about a step in the process

If you close the console you can't press the buttons? The magnet is there to simulate the console being closed. Titlekeys are what's used by your console to be able to redownload games from the eShop. We share them after we buy a game and then other people can download the same game using freeShop or CIAngel. FBI is a homebrew app and TitleDB is a feature of it that lets you browse all homebrew apps and download & install the ones you want, without having to remove your SD card and put in the computer etc

also I know there is the standard 4gb microsd I have an 8gb, should I use that? (if I put everything from the stock microSD card onto new microSD card will I be fine?)
curious about how big the homebrew apps and game sizes are as im assuming ill be limited for space.

4. You won't fit many games in either a 4gb or an 8gb, most games are between 500mb and 2gb
5. If you want to play DS games
6. If you don't pay online then you won't even care of you're banned
