Hi folks,

I recently purchased an R4 3DS upgrade Gold Pro flashcart from nds-card in order to install CFW on my 3DS XL. I chose this card and purchased from the link provided in the table of compatible carts on 3ds-guide. I have followed the guide from 3DS-Guide, but when I launch the flashcart from the 3ds menu, which shows up as Bomberman. It only shows me a white screen at the top with a red question mark and the word menu. I've been looking for any additional files that I may have missed when transferring to the micro SD but I'm at a loss.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Make sure your micro SDHC is formatted to FAT32 and you are using the kernel files found at r4isdhc.com

The files you should get from the link above are the R4 Wood Kernel files. (v1.64)

Scroll Down to find it. (The picture shown is the R4i Gold 3ds RTS... it still works with your flashcart)

Yeah it is that one.

I've got it sorted now folks. I had forgotten the R4i Kernel files, it's been several years since I last dabbled in homebrew. I'm just an eegit. Cheers for all your help!

Thanks.[/QUOTE]
uhh

you flashed it with ntrboot right?
if so, then you'd want to put all the necessary files on the 3ds SD card, place a magnet over your sleep sensor and then hold (X, START, SELECT) and power on.

wait nvmd
im stupid, forget i said that...

i erased everything im just confused now where to start
Hold Select Start and X before you turn it on, then just press the power button briefly so the blue light comes on,then keep holding the buttons for a few seconds before releasing. If your magnet is in the right place and the cart is inserted it should work.

If the console turns itself off after you release the buttons then you don't have the right file in the console's SD card, if it goes into sleep mode then the cart isn't flashed or you aren't holding the buttons right or one of the buttons is broken.

He said he was doing it on an old 2DS. It doesn't need a magnet. The 2DS has a sleep switch
