So I just modded a wii, every thing went very well. All my backs ups worked, the wii booted from SD card, priiloader worked and was set up... when I was in the USB Loader, i decided to exit via the in app menu instead of the wii, and i hit reboot. After that it never went back to home screen it just stayed on the black screen. Now every time I turn on the wii with the sd card in, it will not boot and just gives me a black screen. If i remove the card then the wii will boot and work, and then i am able to push in the card and it works but only after I boot without it being inserted. I deleted bootmii and reinstalled but that didn't do any thing. Any idea as to what happened and what I can do to the SD would be appreciated.

Do you have BootMii installed as boot2? I know you said you deleted it but you can't simply delete BootMii, it's not that simple. Deleting the files on SD card won't get rid of BootMii.
BootMii is a bit picky with SD cards, I had a black screen issue myself which was due to it trying to read the BootMii files from the SD card but failing somewhere in the process. Switched to another SD card I had laying around and all was fine.
You can tell if BootMii installed by looking at the drive flashes on power on (with the SD card out), it if flashes twice then you have BootMii.
I would not recommend uninstalling BootMii though as it provides excellent brick protection. But if that is the only SD card you have laying around then it might be your only option.

I installed bootmii as boot 2 when i deleted from the SD card and reinstalled it. That is not the only SD card I have, should I just copy every thing over to a new card and try to launch it then?

Yes, and if that doesn't help, try without the bootmii folder.

Swapping it into a new SD actually worked. The Wii not boots straight in to bootmii before system menu though. I changed the bootmii folder name to stop that but I've never had to do that before... well at least it works now I, thank you so much.

You can edit the Bootmii configuration file to autoboot system menu if you like, or keep the folder name like that and change it back if/when needed, it doesn't really matter. The important thing is that you don't delete them, since you can't get into BootMii without them in the event of a brick.

I tried changing the settings in the config file but perhaps I did not to that correctly...
