Ahhh yea it was xmb already. I changed to rgui and restarted and I can read things now, thanks.

Any ideas on what I did wrong or how to prevent that in the future? I'm launching from snes9x 2002 and it also seems like it didn't keep some of my settings before - I'd sometimes have to rebind fast forward and almost always have to rebind turbo enable.
You did nothing wrong, it's just a terrible and bugged UI...

that's happened quickly with the xmb menu through the many columns and lines if you accidentally change a setting while navigating with the stick. This is not the case with the rgui menu. To prevent this, I would create a copy of the file retroarch.cfg, which you can dub again if necessary.

Btw for snes emulation, there is a very good stand alone emulator for 3DS ,alternative to retroarch. Here is the link:

Thank you, I actually have that installed already too, but it doesn't have FF/rw and some other features I use so I just stick with RA.

I did copy config but I couldn't restore it because of the controls being locked out. So I renamed it to .old with FBI and that's how I unlocked controls.

Actually, 1.2.0 does have fast forward, just not rewind. Enabling rewind also causes massive performance decreases

try to set under the settings -> input -> input user 1 binds -> device type = retropad, analog to digital = left analog and device index = 3ds controller (# 1). this setting should make control possible again.

Change the menu driver to rgui. You'll probably find something in recent pages of this thread.

Can anyone tell me where I can find information about changes made in the nightlies' releases? That would be useful so I do not have to install any new version to test if anything has changed.

What is the latest version that's recommended? I still have 1.3.3 installed. I know some later versions only introduced problems instead of actual improvements.

1.6.7. Keep in mind pcsx-rearmed still hadn't been fixed and the newer emulators will overwrite the main Retroarch home menu icon if you use the cia versions. XMB crashes Retroarch after a while on 1.6.9 but pcsx-rearmed is working again on that version.

Is pcsx rearmed working again? The last couple nightlys have been crashing on me. Is it even realistic to expect fullspeed ps1 emulation on a n3DS one day?

You need to switch the menu driver to rgui. This is a well-known issue.

Thanks, Got it working with an older version though. It's so close to playable on almost every game I try. Is there a specific group/person working on pcsx rearmed for 3ds aside from retroarch. I want to follow there progress
