Hacking 2 SD Cards with a "hacked" 3DS

So I have an Old 3DS that I installed homebrew and all that on quite a while ago, im running out of the 8gb of storage and am going to buy a new/additional SD card for it, do i just "hack" the 3ds (install homebrew etc) again with the new card? or will that conflict with my other SD card (im planning to use both and swap them out)? Thanks in advance and let me know if you need any extra info.

Just buy a large one and copy paste the original one to the large one

For the size depends on how many games you want. I personally have a 128GB and I have think It's way too much space. 32GB-64GB should be enough but that's you preference.
You can swap the cards back and forth, dosen't matter. Depending on what card you have in the system the installed games/saves will change.

Thanks, so I can just use the new 3ds.guide method and swap back and forth between the 2 cards? (A9LH and B9S i think were 2 key differences)

If i was you I would get at least 32GB and just use a single card, if you must use multiple cards, use emunand. I share my system with people in my house so I have 2 SD cards, one is sysnand the other emunand. the 2 cards don't conflict with each other in that way. This also makes it convenient to have multiple saves across games like Pokemon that only use one save. Alos your system is already hacked, just copy the CFW files over and it will boot.

If you want to start fresh do the finalizing setup part of the guide and you should be good.
If you want to make it easier for yourself, format the new card as fat32 and copy the old card to the new one then just delete the stuff you don't want.
If you have a9lh you will need arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of the SD card. If you have B9S you need boot.firm on the root of the SD card.
If you use luma, you should REALLY be using B9S.

All versions of Luma from 8.0 onward are B9S only, and yes it's worth the 5 mins to switch.

No issue swapping cards, just make sure the system is turned off when you switch them.

Cool so i just swap the A9LH file(s/idk) to B9S file(s) right? I'll look for a guide.

You need emunand since game installs and sometimes saves have data for them on the nand, if you copy an sd card and delete a game, the data on the nand for that game is also removed, causing the game on the original sd card to no longer work.

You don't need emuNAND. You're thinking of tickets.

What OP can do is backup all the save games with JKSM or Checkpoint, then uninstall all the games, then install some on one SD card then install others on the other SD card. Then different games will show up depending which SD is inserted, but all the tickets are still on the console.

I'll be sure to back up my saves from now on, I actually already copied everything to the new card and deleted the old games and nothing seems to have been lost.

I have two sd cards and a now hacked 3ds.

Just because I have my own old data on my old sd card, will it be safe for my 3ds to switch sd cards? Because in my old sd card I have my animal crossing game data, my tri force heroes data, my flipnote studio 3d and many other stuff that are stored into my old sd card. So since my new sd card is for the sake of my games that are being downloaded thanks to the homebrew thing, will the switching of the sd cards harm the 3ds or ot is safe to switch sd cards?

Please tell me I'm a little scared of it.

@rebeccam22 You should really be creating a new thread instead of asking a question is someone else almost 3 year old thread. fyi.
To answer your question, you can use any SD card for your 3DS as long as the console read it.
If you want to keep your current data/saved games, just copy the Nintendo 3DS folder from your old SD card to the New one.
Just make sure the New SD card is formatted as fat32. Also turn off the 3DS when you are swapping cards.
