Hacking PS3 Firmware 4.82 Released

I think we all saw this coming since @esc0rtd3w and his amazing team announced code name PS3Xploit.
It should be a given that it is not advised to update to 4.82 if you would like to potentially tinker with your console around Christmas or Q1 of 2018.

For those who are not on firmware 4.81, here is a mirror link provided by @timxirish

Hey, updates are updates, maybe people still play 3DS by that time and need update 11.98.99 for whatever reason, there still problems with the system. So who knows, maybe people still playing ps3 encounter problems with it.

Seriously though I just wish people stop announcing or releasing stuff until a scheduled date, no leaks or anything, don't even explain how it works until is available. I mean isn't this kind of stuff how people manage to patch so quickly?

I've already reported that, I really didn't expect that, I mean, even if there's an exploit for 4.81, I don't think the PS3 is proficient ATM.

It seems like the update didn't patch the WebKit or kernel, but I would advise people to not update to this firmware if you haven't already.

bought some dlcs from psn a while ago and just noticed that some still stuck in the download queue (there's max number of queue to download)
is it possible to download them while still in 4.81? (and yes I know the exploit still works on 4.82)
