since twl firm hacking is a thing i wonder what we could do with agb hacking we could have 128kb saves for pokemon so you don't need to hex edit the rom and maybe built in cheats

I think I'm getting closer - since they're ROM patch codes, it should be possible to hex edit the rom itself

Gotcha - on conversion these appear to be ROM patch codes (based on https://gamehacking.org/faqs/hackv500c.html and https://gamehacking.org/system/gba)

As far as I understand, codebreaker doesn't support ROM patch codes, so these can't be converted to CB?

No, they can't. There is an option for RAW, but I doesn't work from my experience.

Have an issue, tried to create a patched golden sun, but for some reason it wont open on 3ds running bs9 sys11.6 luma 8.1.1.

as soon as i open the game it says "An error has occurred. Press and hold POWER button to turn off the system. Please refer to the Operations manual for details."

Edit: fixed my derp, got game to run checking to see if cheats working (saw the menu)

Edit2: Menu shows up says press A to activate but the cheat list is blank/empty, attached the cht file i made,

It came up like this in VBA so I assumed it was working but nothing happens in game.

edit: seems to be the codes i got from code junkies aren't working, the ones from the first post seem to work

I would like to share some more info since I have seemed to fix some issues...

codes from code junkies can be converted to CBA using AR Crypt v3.12 beta found http://doc.kodewerx.org/tools.html#gba

ideally settings for ar crypt are converting from ar 1/2 or 3/4 to CBA try both ar 1/2 and 3/4 to see which actually works in gbaatm

edit: you can include the name of the cheat in the code also

ex. Golden Sun

Unless it's a valid codebreaker cheat, it won't work/show up....

I would like to share some more info since I have seemed to fix some issues...

Those are in Gameshark format, not codebreaker... Most of the .cht files I linked work fine, so try to use those if you can (unless it's for a Pokemon game). Those are almost guaranteed to work unless they got corrupted during the translation process...

GameHacking.org is the best place I've found so far. Lots of GBA codes for AR v3 and other popular formats, with most of those having CB conversions, too.

Honestly, I find importing CHT files to be hit and miss (mostly miss). Make sure your codes are CodeBreaker format and cut and paste them into GBAATM manually.

This is built in cheats, you're literally patching the cheats into the ROM...

has anyone had issues with patched games running slow on n3ds? i tired to patch megaman bn2 and the game runs about half speed on both emulator and on the 3ds
