Hey Guys,

Nintendo Switch Update 4.0.1 was released!

Improvements Included in Version 4.0.1 (Distributed 10/25/2017)
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience, including:
    • Changed the HDMI connection process specification to match that of version 3.0.2 to address video and sound output issues with some TV models.

Updating from 2.3.0 to 4.0.1 tommorow for Odyssey lol.
Gonna stabilize the shit out of my switch.

Lol I did the same thing for the same reason. It's so damn stable now not even my farts can blow it over.

On a side note this IS actually a useful update because I've had issues with the Switch as if I brought it to a friend's house with the dock and then back home hooking to HDMI was very finnicky. I would have to use a totally different HDMI cord to reinitialize the handshake. This update actually sounds like it fixes it finally.

Haven't updated yet, I'll cart update first so I can confirm it is 3.0.1 for sure and then update with internet.

Nah, seems it works fine on 3.0.0 as someone reported it. I haven’t tested it on my 3.0.0 tho. The update is optional.

Ill post a vid of me updating using the card if no one has, that way we will be sure.
SciresM confirmed the game was encrypted for 3.0.1 tho so I wonder where you got that info...
