Haha! You're funny. You can't cry about compatibility for old ass apps that aren't updated to take advantage of newer features. True compatability issues are from H&S (so your argument pretty much backfires in your face). That's why you need to use something with ACTUAL permissions, such as download play, to launch HBL with rosalina. And since the whole point was to use it to install the FBI.cia... what exactly is your argument again?
Why are you so hostile? I merely said that H&S injection is still a viable option when trying to install FBI as a .CIA. You've got issues dude. I wasn't arguing one point or another. Do you even check post history before you assume people are idiots or something? I'm very well versed in the nature of HomeBrews and their compatibility with Rosalina; and personally I don't use them. That doesn't change the fact that others continue to try.... (this has absolutely nothing to do with anything) Again, I was merely stating that it's an additional option for people that have trouble with Rosalina, and is hardly obsolete. GFY

:wtf:

You're a special kind of snowflake, aren't you? H&S injection has always been an ugly hack and a bad idea since its inception. It was just the only option available to people without either a hard-mod or a gateway for a good while. It was obsoleted as soon as Rosalina came out. When people like you tell others to inject crap into H&S, newbs come in right behind your post and try using H&S for launching HBL with Rosalina, and that just doesn't work.

I use H&S injection to keep FBI (mostly) on my system without polluting my ticket database with homebrew and other illegal tickets. Haven't seen any other effective method for that that doesn't rely on going through HBL

Hey, if it works, it works. Why argue about if it's obsolete? Heck, I injected FBI into AR Games with GM9 1.27C.

What do you use FBI for then? Anything it installs other than system files, installs an illegal ticket.

smh

Simply because it's no longer required. Messing with system files is not a good idea for several reasons I'll not get into while typing on my phone. It was a temporary and necessary solution for many people at the time. Now, it isn't.

I'm pretty used to messing with system files. Heck, I edited the home menu.

This in my opinion is the best CIA manager because it just does that manages CIA's it doesn't edit them it just installs and uninstalls. AH the bliss.
And so much more. It can grab homebrew from titledb. For users who keep an older emunand for use with gateway, it's also the easiest way to remove pending titles without having to reboot into safe mode (gets rid of the update nag until you reboot and it downloads the files again)

FBI can do more than install CIAs.

I use it to extract and import save files, for example. Works better than the HBL variations.
Also to download certain versions of system modules for certain things.

And when i need to use a CIA, i go offline, install it, use it for however long i need to, then delete it and restore my old ticket.db.

What are you talking about? FBI itself has an HBL variation and there is ZERO difference in functionality launching from Rosalina->HBL or using the .cia. This has nothing to do with insisting on injection, either. To each his/her own. I'm done on this subject.

Since I play my late at night, sometimes I lose sleep because I wait for my .cias to install, so in the next update can you add a feature where after the .cia is installed, it will poweroff? like a button that specifies if it will/not poweroff/reboot/do nothing/quit FBI?
Maybe a queue feature like freeshop, freeshop has poweroff feature already.

seems like little gain in doing so. If you're going to sleep, you're either in a hotel or at home. Just leave it plugged in and go to bed. Or... stop installing stuff so late at night.

Uh, I thought FBI had that already. I guess not then.

The main issue would probably be not being able to put it into sleep mode. The 3ds light will be on all night which i would imagine to be annoying to sleep through.
