So far we know the Sony's will work. Any other suggestions/recommendations? Any of the Logitech lines?

It was just an in-line thing that came with an old pair of headphones. Not quite this, but similar:@HaloEliteLegend do you have a link to your amp? I am quite interested on it now.

I don't see the hype either, but it is NOT dock only.i still dont get the usb audio hype. its dock only...

you can't use a USB to USB c adapter and do it in handheld mode? you can do lan that way so I don't get why you can't use an adapter with thisi still dont get the usb audio hype. its dock only...

Possible to use this in handheld mode somehow?

I think the reason for this is that USB-C headphones with cable are supposed to become popular soon.there is ONE simple solution, that doesnt require any fiddling with trashy chinese adapters...

You don't need any adapter to connect them portable.

becausewhy would you want cables on a portable system though?

Did you update? j/kTesting this out with a Corsair Void headset. Im getting nothing. Any clue what's wrong? The usb dongle is plugged into the switch and it's docked. I've tried all the switch USB ports including the 3.0 as well.
that's what i would think, but not only does it register perfectly fine on my android phone and ps4, but this nintendo life post is sitting with me...Did you update? j/k
Perhaps it is not compatible...

Don't be a cunt. C'mon bro. Not cool. Yes. I have been. I don't understand the whole USB audio thing. Which, again, is why I asked.there is ONE simple solution, that doesnt require any fiddling with trashy chinese adapters...

are you even reading this thread?
using wireless audio for handheld was always possible...

That would be a great idea.Someone needs to make a little usb-c Bluetooth transmitter, since such a thing can draw power from the Switch, this could likely be a very small and unobtrusive adapter, smaller than any available 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter. But until now there hasn't been a need for such a device since all other devices with a USB-C port tend to already natively transmit bluetooth audio.
That would be a great idea.
Know what would be an even better idea?
Nintendo implementing BT audio with no add-ons on the next FW version.

Does there even exist a USB-C adapter that transmits bluetooth? I can find some standard USB adapters that do so, but no type-Cs that do (probably because every device aside from the Switch with a USB-C port can transmit bluetooth audio right from the device).
Try an C to A adapter and try if it works.
It works for me with this USB audio adapter.
