im currently trying to add snes games for the first time, how do i force it to use Retroarch? because in teh command lines it said some will automaticly use a 3rd party emulator....

/bin/snes /usr/share/games/CLV-U-VHJUW/Illusion_of_Gaia_(U)_[!].sfrom.7z

but i know goof troop isnt compatible so i wanna use retroarch, what do i need to change in this?

/bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-CNTTY/Goof_Troop_(U)_[!].sfrom.7z --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600
KMFD beat me to it lol... Just add a space and --retroarch to the command line. Ex. /bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-CNTTY/Goof_Troop_(U)_[!].sfrom.7z --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600 --retroarch. As long as you have the snes9x hmod installed, that is

Simply throw in this command line at the end of a Canoe Argument.

--retroarch

like so...

/bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-XFJBY/Rock_n__Roll_Racing_(USA).sfrom.7z --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600 --retroarch

You will need retroarch and snes 9x 2010, or 2005, or 2002 Core installed. 2010 works fine for most games.

Do you have retroarch installed, as well as mame 2003?

yea i can play snes 2010, nes, gba, genesis with no problem

when I flash custom kernel and only have the original 21 games, it shows 0.5MB/238.2MB at the bottom...does that seem normal? i thought it should show /300MB
It's now different because if reserved the space for savestates and something else. Also there's a mod that gives you some space back.

Then, you simply have wrong rom sets. This is a very common issue since there can be over 50 different versions of one single Arcade Game!, rom set wise! You can private message me and I will try to help you out:)

I just added the dual core method back to my set, as well, so you can do classic /bin/snes05 OR /bin/snes10, etc, if using standard, non Canoe roms:)

Save states, CORES, etc can be taking up space. Install the extra space hmod in LATEST Hakchi, to help gain back some space. Each Canoe save takes up 2 Mb!

Hard to say, the game switches between 256 x 224 to 512 x 448 and/or 512 x 244 for the font/menus and the 3D world when flying, it clearly does something to emulate it. What, though, I've no idea ><
So any reason not to use core version? Anything get censored or epilepsy filtered?

@KMFDManic so far got all the 1941-1944 CPS1/CPS2 roms to work with mame2003 but Forgotten Worlds/Super Puzzle Fighter/Gem Fighter/Varth seems to kick back to snes menu using either mame2003/mame2010. Should I use another mame or fba?

Alright! i just got all my games on it and they seem to work great, Exept that GBA for some odd reason is clipped and the ratio is wrong... seems that theres a red border that overlays the emulator .... and when i change the aspect ratio the border just goes over the video.

I try to utilize battery saves as often as possible. A lot of SNES games have this feature, and I was pretty amazed when the SNESCE UI recognizes battery save option even in the games I personally added!

Anyone here got an error something along these lines and had unresponsive controller using retroarch?

Clover 100% something something controller (0/0) something...

I'm reinstalling retroarch right now to see if it's fixing anything I don't think I've changed anything.

Oh! I had installed the borders someguy made for retroarch and then uninstalled his module, maybe it screwed my retroarch somehow.

Also, was more tesing made with the more option feature? the one that moves save states to a new area?

@KMFDManic @Cluster Hey guys awesome work. I hate to ask but I cant figure out how to change edit .lua files but what I am trying wanting to do is may a high resolution ui. I tried editing the packed.json file but it does seem to actually change anything. basicly I see Nintendo is using a 432 pixel image on the 1280 screen res. so I was hoping on of you can help or point me to the files I may need to change to actually accept a high res packed.png

Or anyone else that has a direction would be will to try.

Does Clovercon Hmod need to be installed over and over?

I am using 2.21c (overwriting my 2.21b with it). Having ticked the “use reset button combinations”, I could not get soft reset function to run. I then checked that clovercon.hmod was inside “mods” folder instead of “user_mods”, so I moved it into “user_mods” and installed it manually. The soft reset finally functioned.

However, when I added a couple of more games and synced my SNESC, the soft reset suddenly did not functioned. I opened hakchi again, checked “use reset button combinations” was still ticked, then re-install clovercon again (for the second time, without uninstalled it first). Surprisingly, the soft reset returned.

Any idea why?

I think you are still using 2.21b custom kernel. You need to flash custom kernel with hakchi 2.21c. I had the same issue. This solve my reset problem.

Once save states do not matter, you can do a system restore from settings on nesc/snesc. It wipes saves but not anything hakchi related, such as games or folders.
Hey man I try to use cheats for the gba but I load the file and everything but idk what button enables a cheat. Can you tell me how or link me to one of your videos where you explain this?

Okay, I'll do it later, thanks. But isn't overwriting 2.21b with 2.21c means that the hakchi is 2.21c automatically? So I still need to flash custom kernel manually after overwrittened it? This never happens to previous hakchis for NES Mini though.

Awesome I got everything running, I figured out the border issue.

So I was playing Zelda parallel worlds remodeled and it slowed down at times ... Should I be using canoe instead? Or is it just how the game is.. anybody familiar with the hack?
