I don't know if I'm going to buy another Gateway product seeing how they treated their Gateway 3ds customers. I'd prefer a cfw this time.Aparently gateway/sky3ds is working on somthing.

now that i think about it, you are very right! every cartridge-based nintendo system got a flashcart.I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a flashcard eventually. Nearly every system that has been cartridge based has had a flashcard of some kind pop up over the years.
