This is a basic Discord client for the 3ds made using a Discord library.

The last discord client had an issue where it spammed the servers with requests and ended up getting some users banned. Would this have the same issue?

All request are shown on the bottom screen for debugging purposes, and all request are done manually so that shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, and if the messages are any indication, it seems to be using the websocket API, so you should be safe.

If this was part of Rosalina, so you could chat with your friends while you play the game (that is it would pause the game lol) that would be cool.

Also the app itself looks pretty cool.

You planning on figuring out how to add more memory to the 3DS? Because that's what it'd require.

You couldn't even have an app simple as this running in the background? I mean i'm not really knowledgeable in these types of things so i'm probably wrong, but would there be some possible way of doing it?

Nope. Rosalina barely fits in the space it occupies. Adding this to Rosalina would require much more memory since it'd exist within the same space. Not to mention that it'd probably instantly shit out the moment you went online in any game because the 3DS can't handle concurrent connections like that.

Im on Luma 8.1.1 and B9S 1.2, but when the discord client loads it crashes, and i get an "excpetional error has occured" im sure its B9S related but wanted to let you know

I'll look into it. But before it crashed did it display some text on the bottom? And of so, what did it say?

I just fixed a number of crashes that can happen when starting up the client. One of those could have been the crash you were dealing with, and that has now been fixed. Also, boot up should be 3 seconds faster now too.

I just found this app and tried to get it to work. Sadly it doesn't. I getting error, instacrash and ARM11 crashes. It's your latest version.
I use the latest stable luma & 3DS firmware on a European N3DS.
Since I don't know how exactly the token line has to look like, I tried different variations. Token only, with [Auth]Token= like the other app wants it and without the [Auth]. With the same results at the end.
The token is a user token, not a bot one.

The ARM11 crashes:
1. Happens when I have no tokenfile and exit via Home Menu -> Exit Program.
2. 2nd try on using it while NTR CFW is running, I guess that's no too surprising as it's a usual happening, at least for me, haha.
No idea if they are any useful for you, but I uploaded the dumps as well.

It should just be the Token only. Other then that on the last image, it looks like you were able to connect to Discord, however for whatever reason you were disconnected from Discord and the heartbeat was also not acknowledged. On the first one, it failed to connect to Discord. I'll look into it.
