I answer the exact same questions almost every day. In doing so I've been able to update the noob guide to reflect any repeated question along with the answers. 90% of the time I refer people to my guide and people get pissed. "Why not just answer the question instead of pointing me to a guide"

Because I answer those same questions over and over people still refuse to search or read the guide before posting that's why! There are always going to be users wanting to be hand fed on every question. I don't think adding a content filter is going to change that. If people would just read through the guide and then ask for clarification if needed in the guide thread rather than making a new thread with the same questions over and over it would be a better world. I don't think we live in that world though.

This is very odd to me as reddit shows it works pretty great and has a much more... clean healthy community than what we have right now. What are you opinions on the current state subbreddits like reddit.com/r/3dshacks is it? Very lively with hundreds of comments a day, those that are common are shoved in one place so it's not a mess

I like to ask questions and ask for support wherever I feel like needing it.

Stfu with your stupid threads. Your thread is useless. Let's close it please.

I mean I was just asking for honest feedback. I see your opinion and respect it, don't have to be hostile.

I'd love to see that here. I just don't think it's gonna happen. This isn't the first thread where this has been discussed at length. It's kinda like being married, you pick your battles.

One way would be to use a natural language processor to analyze content of something someone is about to post and suggest back posts that seems to already match what they are about to post, but I'm sure GBAtemp doesn't have the time/ability/money to implement such a thing :P
