@pcm720 step1 i flash the custom kernel to the snes with hakchi2
Step 2 i edit the gamepath
Step 3 i convert the snes rom to sfrom
Step 4 i load the roms in the edit gamepath per ftp.

Is this right?

Ummmm...If an expert hacker like CLUSTER says that we have patience that we can break the console ...... maybe we should heed:unsure:

Something like that. Don't forget to keep your original kernel safe.
Just in case, make sure that you use the latest commit of hakchi2 built in Debug configuration

No problem i have my original kernel.
Can you upload the python script to convert the snes roms?

Or people can wait a few more days till it's finalized and not risk bricking their Snes Classic? Is that really too much to expect?

People can do whatever they want with their devices, it's their choice.
It's not like I'm actively campaigning for people to install custom kernel and start injecting every ROM they can find. Quite the opposite actually, don't mess with your device if you don't know what you're doing, just wait for the new release of hakchi2.

I can't upload something that doesn't exist :)
Haven't had the time to write one.

Indeed they can, but if they brick, they shouldn't come crying to us :creep: I just want people to stop asking the same question ad nauseum, and let the devs work on it and release it when they're done, that's all.

Ment in general try out this game, shouls have added that. Im waiting till a offical release myself

And that's fine, if people want to take the risk, they can, but they shouldn't expect a miracle if they brick their Snes Classic.

Maybe it will take a week like Cluster said

Or maybe he will run into a few unforeseen problems and it will take 2 weeks, or 3 or month.

Just be patient guys Ive been waiting 3 months already whats a few more days or weeks

I trust him wholeheartedly to get it done in the allotted time he established. :P

3 months is a long time , in the end the console is going to catch dust...

It won't be that long, the NES and Snes Classic share the exact same hardware and OS, it's just that the ROMs use the same format as the Wii U Snes VC, it's a matter of programming it to work with it. Nintendo was smart to use a Linux kernel.

Nintendo smart or commercial strategy ?. Do you think Nintendo made vulnerable bet the SNES mini to sell many units ?.

I don't know, I do know that by GNU licensing rules, they have to make their OS open source and available for download.

I think so. Why else convientently leave a USB slot that just happens to give hackers access. Adding a cable to power would have cheap and easy for them and leave hackers needing a soldering iron

i think the USB port is easier for repair in the service.

So, apparently, the injected games work better if footer offsets 0x0D and 0x0E are set to 0x00.
This way I managed to boot Stunt Race FX, DOOM (both are SuperFX games) and Final Fantasy VI fan translation from RPGOne that didn't work before.
Also, it seems that 0x12 is special chip identifier. If it's not set to 0x0C for SuperFX games, all I get is blackscreen.
