what exactly do you mean with "this"?
Just to clarify I meant that using the "NINTENDONT FORWARDER BOOTSOUND.rar" that ploggy made with a gc Iso injected in the Wii iso didn't have this problem
The problem is present only with the autobooting .dol that you made(the one inside the wii iso)

Hey, I heard you can insert the Nintendont dol into the gamecube game installation itself so it doesn't have to load the nintendont in the sd card. Anyone know how to do that? I don't know if it supports multiplayer controllers yet like the gamecube adapter. So I was going to keep the multiplayer games like Mario Party on the sd while installing single player ones on the wii u.

That's funny, your solution tell users to plug FAT32 in front port (USB2 and 3) while cIOS works only with USBPort0.
I don't know how it can work with r52.

Here is my guide :
https://gbatemp.net/posts/7216091

Though, it may become unneeded and obsolete now that Gerbilsoft updated nintendont to skip incompatible drives.
I may have to re-write my guide to add this setup.
beta53-alt does, but 52 works fine :D

not sure how, but it works!

Just got Nintendont working through the forwarder in Wii VC.
Almost everything works fine, just two things I want to mention:
  • For some reason, pressing the Minus button on the Gamepad does not change the layout of the face buttons.
  • My virtual memory card is not being recognized through Wii VC. Instead I got a message before launching the game about Nintendont initializing or launching the vrtual memory card, and a numerical progress of the card up to the size of the card in bytes.

That sounds like its making a virtual memory card for it. Is your saves in the sd card "saves" folder? I think that the folder its in .

That numeric means its CREATING a memory card.

maybe you didint choose the same settings on mcemu than you had choosen before, it created a memory card becuase it didint find one matching the same excat blocks and gameid that you choose.

Ok so I have downloaded version 5.460 which works fine when loaded in wii VC but if I use the wiiu channel version that let's you use the wiiu controller the version is still the old 5.453. So the question is how do I get the wiiu version to load version 5.460

Edit problem now fixed I had to delete the channel then reinstall it to get latest nintendont to work.

the hbc version loads whatever dol is on nintendont folder named boot.dol wich im guessing you arent putting it there? also all versions now work with hid and bt controllers.

The hbc version is fine it's the installable wiiu channel version that let's you use the wiiu controller that won't update lol.

Edit as said above I had to delete the channel then reinstall it for latest version to show up.

My Wii U multi-drive branch was merged. As of v5.460, you should be able to have both a Wii U drive and Wii/GCN FAT32 drive connected in any order, and the FAT32 drive will be picked up by Nintendont instead of the Wii U drive.
Holy shit dude, that's what I always wanted! Thank you so much!

That could have been it, yeah.
I was using a somewhat old version of Nintendont previous to this one, so perhaps something changed in between.
Oddly enough, the settings I had previously were still there (assuming that's the nincfg.bin).

So exactly what path and name should the memory card be in the SD?

I'm currently getting a black screen when using the forwarder channel and the latest Nintendont dol. However if I launch Nintendont through the Wii HBC using a Wiimote it loads fine. If I then exit out and return to the Wiiu menu and launch the forwarder with the gamepad it again works as it should with the gamepad. It will then load everytime with no problems from the Wiiu forwarder. The problem is that as soon as I power the WIIU down and start again, the forwarder reverts back to a black screen until I relaunch from the Wii HBC and again exit out back to the WIIU menu and once again the forwarder channel will start working again. Very odd.
