Hi, Any guides on how to use this thing?

I'm completely new to this and the Wii U scene so would appreciate some pointers/guide.

Thanks!

Hey There. The text file that's in the release of v1.0 should give you some direction. Most of the information is true except for the armors spaces thing, it's partially true while the false part will crash the game :D. Anyway, don't use v1.0, instead use the latest release v1.1 and don't forget to read the text file within that release too. Be careful with the "weapons" tab. Make sure you know what you're doing there because if you don't it'll crash the game or maybe worst ruin your profile :hateit:. I'll see if I could write an instruction guild with the next release.

If you want some recommendation in terms of armor sets/skill sets to use with the trainer, let me know and I'll post it here.

All comments/suggestion are welcome.

BTW, you have to install "RAM Hack" first, before using the trainer. Follow the instruction from this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/jgecko-u-setup-guide.426292/

Many thanks. I'm actualy stuck on the bloody tcpgecko setup, havent even reached the trainer stage yet. Completely lost and nothing is working. so much junk and old info floating around that's no longer relevant and i'm sifting through it all trying to make sense of it -_-

I'm on 5.5.2, running haxchi. Ive got tcpgecko and can see it in hbl, can run it but cant connect from my computer.

All I want is literally just 99 items on my slots and monster health maybe. Not even that. that's all I'm after, not even going into crazy weapon or armour mods... im losing the will to live, been at it for hours with no progress.

Would appreciate any help buddy!!

Make sure you use the latest elf file from Bully (in link above). Before you hit the A button to install Ram hack, on top of the screen, it display your IP address. Make sure you write that down and use that IP. Also you need to load a game first (game should be running), then try connecting using JGecko.

Hey KingHall, i will create a thread who will contains all values of MH3U :D but i have a big problem since i have just the rank "newbie"... i just can't send PM (Start a conversation) and post a post or thread with links inside :/

Yet, I know. They have this mess up policy of 10 post min in order to post attachment and/or links. They're trying to prevent spambots. How I got around this is to contact admin and they move my profile to a different category. Go to the chat room on this forum, there is always an admin person there. Ask someone to help you move your profile, that way they know you're not a spambot.

Yes mate, been using that mess of a 'guide'.

I've got the files I need I think. Got it from that guide even though it links to like 10 million other threads to get the same files (which I'm guessing are older).

I've launched homebrew, loaded tcp gecko, it shows my ip address, I press A to install, takes me back to the main menu. I launch a game, wait until it's fully loaded, then try to connect on my PC and it can't find it.

Banging my head.

You probably need CBHC i think.

did you try a simple PING command to that IP? The ping command has nothing to do with HBL, it just determine whether your PC can see your Wii U. If ping failed, then it's your home network configuration. If you're using a Wifi router, you might have to set a static IP.

If the ping works, then maybe you have to disable your firewall or add an exception in your anti-virus on your PC.

All I have on my Wii U is Haxchi. And on my SD is HBL and RAM Hack. That's it. Nothing else.

Sweet, atleast that clarifies that it will work with haxchi.

I haven't actually tried to ping it, you're probably right about my home network need configuring. But I can sort that, just wanted to make sure I'm doing the initial bit right first.

So just to clarify mate, and sorry if I sound like a broken record.

I have copied the tcp gecko files to the SD card.

Put it in the wii u. Ran haxchi home brew. load tcpgecko, it asks me if I want to install it, I press A and then it takes me back to the menu.

I'm guessing it has loaded it now. I've got my IP Address. I start a game and load it.

***UP TO THIS POINT, DO YOU DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?***

Next bit, I should just be able to go to my computer, load gecko U and it should either connect automatically or i should enter the ip address manually and it should find it.

At this point it should be ok. I've not missed any steps or you dont do anything different do you?

I've not got CBHC, didn't want to run the risk of bricking it and I didnt think i needed it as I'm not doing anything else other than just load games and play them.

Can KingHall please confirm if I require CBHC as well?

If you have Haxchi, you should have CBHC..

If you fellow the guide to install CBHC your Wii U will not brick.

The guide I followed pretty much ended at that step after insrtalling haxchi for downlaoding games.

It said to install CBHC only if I wanted to boot into CFM by default but I didnt bother with that as I could do that by just pressing A. and it would jsut load into the custom firmware.

But if it is a requiremet to get it to work then I'll do it.

Would appreciate if KingHall can let me know if he uses it too. Maybe that's the piece of the puzzle I'm missing?

I tried to ping btw, couldnt ping it. need to sort that too.

Hi, I have sorted the network issue, can connect to my wii u now and JGeckoU can connect up.

Can you tell me how I get it to apply cheats?
Ive tried the zenny code 2F448AF8 09023840, i pasted that in the ADD CODE section, pressed OK, then SEND CODES, nothing happens in the game and I get loads of error messages on the pc.

Please help, thanks.

I don't have CBHC. If you're unable to PING to your Wii U from your PC, then that's the problem. Find out why???

As I mention earlier, I suspect you have an network issue (unable to PING) or your anti-virus on your PC is blocking packets from transmitting (PING is OK, but still unable to connect with JGecko).

I don't run the cheats from JGeckoU. I run the MH3U trainer, which is all you need. You should download the trainer v1.1. There is a link a few post up.

Will the trainer let me have lots of money, unlimited items and add missing items?

First of all I just want to say I love you! I spent 3 days trying to get this gecko thing to work and then this trainer does it in seconds!!!!! If only I just did this in the beginning.

Ive got it to run a couple of things, just tried different things and read the codes on this thread.

Only bit of help I'd like now please is just about the tool itself.

It seems to have made me crazy powerful, I'm guessing its the all buffs and defence stats which are ticked. I'm going to untick those.

Also, any way to keep the items from going down? Otherwise I have to constantly run it once I use them up. I put in 99, but then as soon as I use it, it drops down to 10 items or less depending what it is I use.

All i really want is to have a set few items like potions etc that never run out, lots of money, thats it.

Extra things like boss hp and adding items is a bonus but the other 2 are the main things. I don't want to be overpowered and invincible, just dont want to farm too much that's all.

Any advice would be much appreciated mate!

Anything you want. Just read the text file that comes with the trainer to get the code for each item. Also you could give yourself any weapons, armors, or talisman.

The trainer even have a replicator, that can be turn on during quest, which will give you attack boost, defense up to 32,000, etc. and most important infinite items during quest, such as traps, bombs, arrows, etc.

Don't give yourself more then what the default is allow in your pouch. The game will reset the item number back to the default max. If you want infinite item during quest, turn on the replicator (the "run" button). It'll refill your pouch every x time. You get to set your time interval.

Works like a charm.

This is perfect! Last few questions if you dont mind.

1 - How do I give myself lots of money?

2 - How do I set it so that it doesnt constantly refresh my HP and stamina? It's pretty much made me invincible at this point as my health is restored back to max each time it runs. I don't want this to happen. is that possible?

3 - Lastly, in the first page of this thread, one of the members said item box slot 999. is that to multiply any item number that is in slot 1 and if so, how do I get that to work? His code is much longer?

(ItemBox Slot 1
2F448C60 YYYYXXXX
Y = Item Digits
*X = How many 03E7 are 999)

Thanks a million in advance!

If you're in the village/port, your pouch could hold up to 99 or more of ANY items. You just can NOT do that during a quest its because the game automatically runs a calculation routine when you use an item, which brings everything back to normal.

If you want more item, stand next to your chest, use the trainer to give yourself more of that item in your pouch (up to 999), then store it in your chest in the game. As long as the items are not being use, the amount could be any.

On to your question:
  1. Give your self 99 of Azure Drgnshpire (worth 32,000 each) or Dire Dragongem (worth 31,000 each) in your pouch. Then sell it. That should cover money. Give yourself 99 Lava Nuggest (1500 each) for resource.
  2. Maybe on the next release, I'll give the option of disabling health and stamina. But for now don't use the replicator, but instead pause the game, do a capture, then modified the modify your pouch manually, then write back, resume. I know it's a pain, but that should do what you want.
  3. Not sure. I think 999 is limited by what the game could display. Still, it doesn't mean you'll have 999 items in a single slot. I think the game restrict that.
