Now you can now that its dead. But lets pretend it was still alive. That price would be higher. (also depends if your talking about n3ds or o3ds.)

The prices I saw (entering the 3DS world in 2013 or so) was something like $180, then when the 3DS XL came put dropping to $130, then when the new 3DS came out dropping to $90, then steady decline since then.

If you are a gamer then you would be used to spending say $80 on a new release game. So even at the height of things it was worth two new release games. That's very little compared to say the Switch, which is selling for $280+ even second hand (hopefully a new model comes out sometime and makes them cheaper)

Get SwiftKey, it's a really good swiping app for your keyboard. I like best how it remembers whole sentences that I write frequently.

whatever, to be honest there is no reason to buy more than one of the same console. And I'm going to turn your argument against you. If it is true that people will not run out of local friend seed codes then I guess there is no point in buying more than one of the same device.

Of course there's a reason. I have an Ambassador O3DS that I upgraded to an N3DS, and I've got another N2DS since my wife/daughter both hate the 3DS effect.

Yeah. I hope there's a portable-only version or maybe one where the joycons don't come off but you can still plug it in and use a pro controller. I don't use home consoles much

I honestly could see them doing that and maybe making the console a bit smaller and reducing the price (so a switch mini basically). Granted it would be a while before that could happen due to technology prices. Also just curious but do you have a switch yet?

I sniffed analytics a couple of versions ago (and lost the file, it's somewhere on some pastie clone site) but they're just a list of meaningless by themselves values with no obvious interpretation, so not much point in comparing

Well, more updates are definitely coming our way. What are they even trying to do? Why not make their users happy be removing the 100 song per folder limit on Nintendo 3DS Sound (which in my opinion is extremely ridiculous) instead of making tweaks that won't make any change that the user can notice.

Buying more than one handheld console isn't that odd with all the special editions, black friday specials, upgraded models, banned/broken/bricked/updated units, cheap $80 2ds etc. out there.

I've lived to be 130 years old in anticipation of the next 3ds update.

No, no Switch for me. I love saving money and getting bargains, so I find the idea of paying full price for something very unappealing. And there's no games I'm desperate to play enough to justify buying it. For example, I played BotW on Wii U and the delay in the Switch release of Yooka-Laylee plus poor reviews dampened my excitement for that game. Not to mention I am working 4 days a week and studying full time so I shouldn't even be playing games to begin with. All this added together means I'm quite happy to wait a few months.

Makes sense, especially with you already having a Wii u and having a full schedule. Probably a good idea in your case to wait until some more big games have been released and there's been a price drop. In a couple years there'll be Pokemon, Metroid prime, Pikmin, and very possibly smash too.
