Ok make sure that you have the correct files in your payloads folder. Then, go into FBI, then SD. Copy the luma folder. Go into CTR-NAND and paste it at the same level as arm9loaderhax.bin. Also copy the arm9loaderhax.bin from SD and paste it in CTR-NAND, overwriting the one there. Your SD card isn't working. After you do this, you really need to buy a new one.

What are the correct files for the payloads folder ?

Do I need to download an updated Luma folder from somewhere ?

The SD seems fine in windows and freestore installs just fine :/

Thanks for your help so far :)

If you were following https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s then they'll be detailed there. Probably SafeB9SInstaller.bin.

I am now on Luma3DS v7.0.5 but I still cant get into the chain loader menu.
Did you copy the luma folder to the same level as arm9loaderhax.bin on CTR-NAND?

It should be something like
CTR-NAND/arm9loaderhax.bin
CTR-NAND/luma/payloads

If it is already right, then check you have the payloads in the folder correct.

Yes my files are the right ones in the right place.

Here: https://github.com/blu-jay/button-test/releases

The 7z archive will have either a 3dsx file (which you put in the 3ds folder and run from the homebrew launcher) or a cia (which you can install using FBI).

All buttons work fine :/

Thanks for the amount of time you've put into this, will wait and see if anything else becomes available, maybe another guide. Thanks again.

Got the chain loader working :)

The payloads had to go inside the luma folder which resides in CTRNAND/RW

EDIT
Failing on the init SD card part of updating A9LH to B9S now, trying format SD card to FAT32 with the cluster size set to 32KB and copying my contents back to it, then I'll try again.

EDIT
I've finished the upgrade to B9S :)
But now all of my games and hax are missing, no homebrew launcher and no FBI either :/

I learned something, I'll try and remember it for next time someone has the same problem :-)
It isn't surprising your games are missing, your SD card is faulty. You need a new one. Hopefully just copying the data to the new one will be enough!
