Hacking Questions about my psp

Hello everyone. i have an old model psp 2000, i remember it needs pandora battery for cfw. i didnt install custom cfw on it. i bought it with cfw and it has 5.50 prometheus cfw. i checked that. it can work with 6.20 fw games. so i never checked for update it.
my first question; should i update it for new cfw ?

i got 32 gb memory card but i also have photofast cr-5400 memory stick adaptor, i want to buy 2 micro sd and use it for bigger memory
can i use 2x64 gb memory sd or should i use 2x32 gb micro sd, which will work better/without problems ?
and will 5.50 prometheus will recognize it ? or update is necessary ?

I would recommend version 6.61 then install Infinity cfw. Check what motherboard it has first though.
to respects to the adapter, i would not know. I think 32Gb is a lot for the PSP in itself. Have fun!

and 6.61 cfw is permanent or need to run on every restart ?

I don't think the psp recognizes 64Gb cards, not sure about that though. also i'd recommend PRO cfw 6.60, it's not permanent and it has a feature called Inferno mods, which cuts down on loading time, but speeds up battery usage, pretty good tradeoff. it's also easy to install and use, and can be removed anytime without any fuss.

there are certain games, like God eater 2 and Final Fantasy type-0, not to mention Metal Gear Solid : peace walker, that require 6.60 to play them.

i want to make permanent cfw. so before install cipl flasher how can i be sure about my psp is okay with that ?

and if any brick problems happen, can i bring back my psp to life with pandora battery and mms ?

hate to break it to you, but firmware never went higher than 6.61, he probably got it mixed up with 6.60, not 9.90

thank you so much, i fixed my problem and installed 6.60 pro and then i installed cipl flasher too. Now everything is working flawless. now i can return my main question ))
i talked with my friend i tomorrow i will borrow 2x64 gb micro sd cards from him and 2x32 gb micro sd cards and i will try them for max size capacity on my psp with my dual slots memory stick adaptor and i will write results on here

I just got one a few weeks ago and I've modding the heck out of it. If at any point it says that it can't recognize the card, just take it out and put it back in. It may just be my system but you may see some occasional failures to launch a game. Usually works a second time. also be very VERY CAREFUL with the battery. If it gets overcharged try what i did in the thread i made.

also NEVER LEAVE IT TO CHARGE ON USB!!!!!!

This is a bit random but does anyone know how to setup PspStatesMenu_Pict on 6.61? or at least another state save plugin? I've tried it a few times but it doesn't wirk on isos or psp eboots.

Have you tried with Custom HOME v1.3.7 MOD?

Hey guys, just wanna ask about the 6.61 cfw release, im currently using a 6.60 Pro-C Fix3 cfw.. works well on most games except on Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD which never seems to load but other games are running okay..

The question is, will it be worth it to update the current cfw to the 6.61 Pro? And what are the Pros and Cons if I did update my current framework?

BTW: i have a PSP 2000...

i checked this game now, hd version is for psp emulator and android phones, so you should look for normal version.
to be sure about that i downloaded that game and installed my psp 2000 (same cfw with yours), i think you dont need to update your psp.

you can download the game from here, i tested it, it is working, when you create new character new part is looking Chinese, but you can change it with using select button and when you press home button for quiting game, this part is Chinese too. All other things are english.

Thanks for the reply.. but my main concern is whether i should or not update to the 6.61 cfw version... and thanks for providing me with the link of the non-HD version.. this will help me out a lot..

But i've already decided to keep my current cfw.. the benefits that come with the 6.61 is not worth it despite being able to access the internet and all.. but the psn/store is no longer accessible in my country so it would be pointless to do it..
