What doesn't work? If you don't have an emuNAND you can't expect to be able to back it up. That option will appear whether or not you have an emuNAND. If you don't play online you won't be banned, but being banned only means losing the ability to play online, so if you aren't playing online anyway it won't matter.

If you don't have an emuNAND then no you don't need that option ticked. The guide did not tell you to tick that option. You should do what the guide says and not go inventing things.

Local play doesn't count as online and can't be blocked

It's normal because you don't have an emunand and that's exactly what should happen.

Ok I have 1 more question, can I use my gateway card to run the games I have on it with this cfw if I go via homebrew loader and gateway?

Hi guys so I have a 64GB Memory Card and on my 3ds is 16Gb memcard I have CFW Luma3ds installed if I want to move from 16GB to 64GB what should i do? is the CFW isntalled on the SD card or in 3DS it self? thanks

Make sure that the 64GB SD is FAT32
Then, you can just copy paste from old SD to new SD

No. Don't use the gateway.

I want to sell my old 3DS (planning on getting a new 2DS XL), but I´m a bit unsure about some things...
I recently installed boot9strap and the latest version of luma, using a 64GB SD Card and was playing online (signed into Nintendo Network),too.

What I would like to do now, is to put all the setting back to default without losing the hack.
I don´t want any personal information (Nintendo account,name,date of birth,etc.) to stay on the console, and I want to switch to the original SD Card it came with, while only keeping FBI,Luma Updater, the Homebrew channel and the CFW itself of course^^

I know that I can just copy the data over from one SD Card to another, but can I also set the console back to default without losing FBI and the Luma Updater?

And how do I install the Homebrew Channel on boot9strap, I was using it with A9LH but since I updated it doesn´t seem to work anymore...

What would be the easiest way to set it up like this?

Factory reset the 3ds, get the latest Luma boot.firm and put it to the SD root, get the homebrew starter kit and put the files inside the starter folder to sd root, then follow https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup

I currently still have reinand on my new 3ds xl as i could not bother to update.
A few minutes ago i've updated my emunand to the latest version and, as it turns out, i'm not unable to boot my emunand (it boots up normally, i select reinand, custom logo screen appears as usual, then the console goes dark).

So, question 1: is there a "lazy" fix or am i forced to upgrade to newer stuff?

question 2: if there is no lazy fix, how can i backup my saves and which cfw should i go for?
