Craftus is a Minecraft clone for 3DS. This is a rewritten version of the one, I wrote a bit ago(for more infos see here for more infos https://github.com/RSDuck/craftus_reloaded).

And it's finally there, probably the first piece of 3ds homebrew vapor ware is being released, prepare to be underwhelmed:D

Ok, to be serious. I finally implemented loading and saving the world into the rewritten version of Craftus. That means that it's almost on par with smeas 3dscraft(except theres only one block type and the world is flat, instead of being almost flat, but these things are easy to implement). The whole thing is more or less stable(see here: https://github.com/RSDuck/craftus_reloaded#known-bugs)

So for those of you who are still reading this, you can download Craftus here(cia and 3dsx download, QR codes too): https://github.com/RSDuck/craftus_reloaded/releases
Expect updates soon. I simply wanted to release this thing and now were the loading and saving, finally is implemented, it seemed like a good time to me.

When you find a bug, please report it and include the data visible on the bottom screen and your save file(can be found in the folder sdmc:/craftus/saves/TestWelt)

EDIT: I just remembered that 3dscraft also had basic lighting based of a sun

very nice, cant wait for some basic survival like some of the psp version have

good work, the knowledge you have with 3d.. it was just a matter of time before some homebrew would emerge.

Nice!
Now to port the entirety of the MC Bedrock engine that isn't even out yet!

is there a cia version of this?? if not, do I have to do any coding to have a cia version of this??
I will release a new version in a few days, maybe even today, which will include a cia.

It contains multiple blocks(including transparent ones), a bit more interesting world and some bug fixes and optimisations!

works great I love the autojump very smooth on old3ds cant wait till multiple blocks to place

I wanted to see the height limit so I pillared up and after a long long time it crashed but it was a very good time until it did. when it crashed it didn't save to be expected.

Please make some kind of way to switch to a n3ds control layout that uses the extra buttons :)
the button layout is internally already configurable, the values are only hardcoded into the source code. So implementing this and custom control layouts is definitely something you can hope on being implemented soon.

The world is 128 blocks high(like in the old versions of Minecraft). I already fixed some game crashing bugs, but I've never tried to reach the height limit, maybe theres a bug which happens when you reach it, I will look into this.

EDIT:
here is an image of the newest version of Craftus(note: the tree was built by myself, to test the rendering of transparent blocks. The holes in the ground were also done by myself):

nice dud

to be honest, probably not.
when's the next release going to come out?
it's out now: https://github.com/RSDuck/craftus_reloaded/releases
see the release page for the changelog
(when you asked the question it wasn't out yet, but I planned to release it now, so I didn't answered your question until know. In future please don't ask for ETAs, they will be delayed anyway:))

Good job! What's most impressive is that you were able to work with the 3DS hardware which is very limited.
