BTW anyone know how to repack the .bins inside a/0/8/3?

The models are spread between map locations and are packed as such, i.e Unpacking the garc reveals xx amount of .bins. Each .bin corresponds to an area on the map and inside THAT one are NPC/Trainer/Pokemon models for that area. Apparently these need to be edited as well as the models in a/1/7/0 and a/1/9/6...... But yeah, I have no idea how to repack a .bin file.
I think you can use the LZ11 (de)compressor from pk3ds to handle those.

No, I don't mean individual binary files. I mean, you have to extract one bin that gives you about 10-12 more .bins in a folder. All 10-12 binaries (the ones that contain the models etc) have to be repacked into a single .bin correlating to the map location, then the whole thing can be repacked into a garc.

Basically, you unpack a/0/8/3
You get 00 -2670.bin
These can't be opened until extracted.
so I open 0443.bin - Map: 054 - Hau’oli City (Shopping District)

This bin contains ANOTHER 10-12 .bins that are the actual model files for that area.

So my problem is, these bins, need to be repacked into the SINGLE map location bin and then repacked into the garc.

.Bins, within a .Bin, within a garc full of .bins. :D Lmao

Sorry if I'm not making sense I'm trying to explain the best I can Lol.

I can't recall in Gen 6, but in Gen 7 there are 9 files for each pokemon so 00- 009 would be Bulbasaur, yes. But I'm almost 100% sure they have the same amount of files per pokemon.
Thanks^^ I will find out by myself (do I have to extract all the .bin for a pokemon to view them in ohana3ds? or I'm keeping them as they are? )

Technically you can't extract those bins anyway, you can only compress/decompress them. Anyway, no you only have to decompress the ones you want to edit.

Sorry about that, I realise we were looking at two different files.
I took a look at a/0/8/3 and now understand exactly what you mean, the file is using some crazy nested archive layout, like Russian dolls.
I'm not sure how to deal with this one, sorry :(

Yeah, it's unusual that's for sure. I wonder why the hell they wanted to separate the models between area maps.... The models in a/1/9/6 are the EXACT same ones Lol. Yet I'm pretty sure if I want to edit the textures I'd have to find a way to edit Lillie for example in all instances of the map locations as well; fuck that.

Well, it's just a texture edit in your case so you can import it
You can't because of the way the models are packed inside a .bin, inside of another .bin, inside of a garc. There is no way to pack the models back into a .bin file. I explained it already Lol. The weird nesting structure for a/0/8/3 will not let you repack after edits.

That was the model in a/1/9/6 (which I also edited in /a/1/7/0) and the edits don't show up unless the model for the map location you're in inside a/0/8/3 is edited as well; but you can't...

Open the garc like @NekoMichi did and you'll see what I mean.

so if anyone could help I downloaded some of the attachments from this thread and I was wondering how do I cause the evolution to happen I am very curious because I want to use it in my personal randomizer on either sun/moon or ORAS

The megas? You need to replace the models with another pokemon (you can't add pokemon). For example if you want mega Articuno, you need to replace another pokemon/mega with the models for regular/mega articuno. So you could for instance replace Absol/Mega Absol with Articuno/Mega Articuno, and rename the Absolite to Articunite.

@Majickhat55 do u like my mega articuno ?
To be completely honest, it looks a bit rushed still look good don't get me wrong. I made one myself in KHED a while back but it took me forever just to do simple things since I'm not "pro" or anything haha.. I was giving her crown more points, and going to double her primary feather and create a diamond shaped crest to put in the center of her crown.

Those are wonderfull are u going to share it when it is finished ?
Maybe if I can find them and actually finish them Lol. I was working on my own Rom hack last year "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Red" with Red as the main character, and evolving Mews into Mewtwo and vice versa, etc. I just never finished it.
