Nintendo may actually have found a way to hamper the used games market on the switch, when you think about it.

Considering that Nintendo made the Switch cartridges really bitter to prevent children (and GBAtemp-users) from swallowing it you can be almost guaranteed to get a game which has been licked by at least one person.

Yesterday i bought two Switch games used (Zelda and 1-2 Switch) and it took me quite a while to actually get over my disgust, before ordering them.

How do you feel about buying games used, knowing that someone somewhere has probably licked them at least once?

Lol I never licked mine but I doubt people will be licking their cartridges anymore now that the initial novelty has worn out.

Well, true, but how many games are there now?
I would say that, while the chances on Mario Kart being licked may be low at this point, but what about Breath of the Wild?
I'd say the chances are very good that almost all of the cartridges bought used were licked.

You should be more worried about people going to the toilet, not washing their hands, then using the switch / handling the game carts.

Wipe them with a cloth / disinfectant if your worried and move on. You probably touch far worse on public transport.

Yup probably, it's gross, but that's just the reality of getting stuff used and part of the reason I avoid getting used stuff. You should just buy stuff new through GCU or Amazon deals so you don't have to worry about it and you get a new game at a nice price.

But i am sooo terribly cheap :ha:

You've never worries about what people have done to their DS/3DS carts?
Don't own any, besides... what would be the point of licking them?
Youtube alone has so many videos of people licking Switch Carts just to experience how bitter they are and news-websites reported on it.

I have seen the analysis of what human slime is that you get between keyboards, in cracks of controllers...
A bit of nice clean spit would absolutely fine by me.

Unless you meant your disgust that you wasted money on Nintendo's next failure of a console. In that case as a great song once said don't believe the hype. Much like not taking backups we all do it once, though some sadly seem to do it twice.

What about shoving them up their asses, just because they can? Can't rule it out.

Regard switch cartridges...
Nintendo may actually have found a way to hamper YOU from getting into the used games market.
I couldn't care less about the remote possibility of the owner licking it at some given moment in the far past.

You do realize there are bugs that live on you that you cannot see, and if you touch anything in the public it has gross stuff on it.
This is why washing your hands is important, and also important to eat well so you have a decent immune system.
If gross things like this didn't exist, we would be defenseless against anything in the air or from animals etc. Don't over think it, just don't be gross :)

Children on this board will find anything to complain about.

If it's so nasty to you, buy them new. Otherwise stop complaining.

I didn't really see it that way, but i suppose you are correct.

@g00s3y I am 30. No idea where you even got that from. Your attitude alone is more toxic than anything Nintendo puts on their game.
