Gaming No ranked with friends on Splatoon 2

Has anyone else noticed there's not an option. I thought it was league play but that's a new game mode. Wtf Nintendo

There's something called League mode but it's locked until rank B- and from what I've read it's not the same, it's a new game mode. Ranked is impossible right now cause all the good players are on it.

Ranked modes are the same as Wii U version, right? i'm really good at Ranked Mode. Ha.
But i don't think the tilt-controls are in the Switch version, right? like Wii U did?

Yes same modes. And yes it has tilt even in pro control and hand held mode.

controls are much improved from Wii U

Got into the rank mode then into the league mode.
Was disappoint i could do league with random people and it could only be with people on my team list. Kinda sucks.

I thought id be able to join a group

i miss Wii U gamepad

It's a bit odd playing with motion controls in handheld mode, I can't make big movements like I could playing on the Wii U version, or I won't be able to see the screen. I compensated for that by increasing the sensitivity and it works rather well now.
It works great with the Pro Controller though. It's my favorite way of playing it, the Pro Controller just controls so smoothly, the sticks may be the smoothest I have ever used (I'm sure they'll wear down over time and become not so smooth though) and the motion controls feel really accurate.

Can't you join people playing ranked battle from the friends option?
