So i want do a system transfer to my new Nintendo 2ds xl when it releases and I want to keep my games I got with freeshop. The problem is that there is that nag saying the game is broken on a non cfw system is there a way I can keep my games on a non cfw system? Also I know I can get cfw on the 2ds xl but I don't want to hack it instantly I will do it later on in it's life time

If you don't want to hack it instantly, ypu cannot have your games on your new console.
Do a nand backup to your old one pre-transfer amd then restore and never connect online anymore to keep them at last on your old.

So if i transfer I cannot with the tickets redownload them from the eshop and have a legit sig?

No. your system and eshop will not recognize any of them. And as said ya need tikshop to make those games appear and to be usable.

To make them appear on my downloaded list from eshop?
If they dont appear on your home screen. with they will likely not without the tickets, then eshop will not see them either which will prevent the redownload from even appearing for you

So if with tikshop I get some tickets transfer to my new 2ds I will be able to redownload?

tikshop would need to be used on the target console you wish to have the tickets installed to. At this moment, you would need to look at a dsiware transfer or later the ntrboothax to do this

What I'm asking is if I can run tikshop on source and then transfer via sys transfer my tickets to target?

You need to have the second system hacked in order to see these games. You can transfer them and even use FBI to re-install their tickets, but you need the target system hacked. There is no way around this.

You actually need to dump the tickets on the source using decrypt9, then re-install the tickets on the new system using FBI. This was the method I used in order to move my games.
I did have some games give me issues, so I simply restored the NAND on my source system, dumped the saves, then imported them to the new system.
There are some steps I left out to make it more simple, keep that noted.

Same goes for legit cias?

Doing some research, but apparently you can not transfer legit CIAs to another system. You would still have to install them using the method I mentioned above.
Just want to mention that freeShop does not generate legit CIAs.

I know it doesn't gen legit cias

Then to put it simply. No.

You can't transfer pirated games to a stock console with a system transfer. The games are not legit installs, so they won't be transferred period.
The only way to get your games onto your new console is to hack it.... Or you know, actually buy them.

Actually they do get transferred, but the tickets don't. And to install tickets you need CFW. Without tickets the games don't show up in the home menu and are not redownloadable from the eShop.

Ah, thanks for the correction. So for all intents and purposes they aren't playable without CFW, even though they transfer.

I don't think freeshop games count as "legit" do they? I mean They kind of do count as eshop games since you are getting freeshop games from the eshop server with there tickets, which is why they show up on the eshop to be redownloaded.

So they can be redownloaded?
