It sounds like the XCGPU is dying. It works with Xell because it is a low resource program. The only way I can think of to verify, is flash the stock NAND, flip the CR to program(this shuts it off), and boot it to retail to see if an error code arises.

In Xell, try to run some intensive homebrew. Do some looking around for anything really that will push the system a bit. The fact that a reflow did nothing is making me think the NAND is broke somehow. At the very least it should have temp booted and worked for a few days. This is with my time spent with fat consoles so the APU could be different possibly.

That's a great idea. Use the N64 emulator (Mupen64 I believe) and see if it'll run Mario 64.

You can use the chip in a different console. When you got your j runner there was this tool to watch the hole boot process on the screen... Might help you found the error.... When the original image does a red dot straight away it might be corrupted or the box really gone to heaven now.... You can reprogram the band easyaly. I'f it's not even recognized anymore now you might have flashed a wrong image to it. That can be solved by shorting the nand and reprogram it afterwards.

Ok. I did tryed to create an original nand after this tut http://team-xecuter.com/forums/threads/92607-How-to-recover-from-losing-NAND-(but-have-ECC-written) i uploaded it and something went wrong. I have a red light now. I cant even enter to xell boot any more... just red light. I think the nand its bricked. :/ Can be reprogramed ? I ordered a jrunner programmer but it wil come over 2 weeks. Q: The glitch chip can be used to another console? phat one maybe?
I've never had to rebuild a retail NAND, but it seems I am wrong and it's possible. But you'll need your fusesets to determine LDV (Lock Down Value), and the CB's (Kernel Bootloaders, slims come shipped with split CB's) to determine the dash. From there you get a clean SMC in the data folder, adjust values in JRunner, and create a retail image.

Realmodscene is another great forum for help besides TX. Swizzy knows his sh**

I have the fusesets and i think my LDV is 2
fuseset 07: ff00000000000000
fuseset 08: 0000000000000000

but im confused with CB. (i have to read more info about it) Im newbie in this sh*** . / So i think th CB may be 9230. (acording to the image) I remember the version of dash before I update it. like that one in the image (2.0.14717) Its corect?

Fuseset 2 will tell you what CB is acceptable.

"To cut a long story short, fuses 02 on XeLL tells you what CB will be accepted for the console to boot retail. The CF/CG fuses (lines 7 & 8) get burned every time you take a dashboard update, but the CB fuse may not, depending on what dashboard is being applied.

Fuse 02 will look something like this:

Fuse 02 : F0FF000000000000

To calculate the value, the significant value is the right-most 'F'. In the example above, it's 4 characters from the left so is sequence 4"

Trinity
CB-Fuse 2 value
9188-1
9230-3
9231-4

Then use that chart in your post to assign a suitable dash.

my Fuse 02: f0f0000000000000 . So its in the 3rd position.

And we have..
2 < pos <= 3 ---> 14717 - 14719
Correct?

Only one question... In J-R to create a retail flash.bin it says to chose the dashboard version but there is nothing to select. . And there is no connection in J-R. Its referring to jr programmer ?! In that popup window where it says Add Dash i've seen in a video tutorial a lot of dashboards. But here is none
(the nandflash.bin its not loaded in this picture)

Sorry dude I'm totally busy today. First... Should be the right pins for short. But check that on a mother page again haven't had to do this for a long time.

To get the dash's you need to get them files somewhere else as the runner isn't supported anymore. There is a ready to go version of the program around the net but it's about a gig big with all them dashes included.
