So i got some mini DVD-R's in the mail today and wanted to burn some games to them and play them on my gamecube. Through my Wii, i have installed an exploit on my memory card that allows SSB Melee to boot GCoS 1.5. However, when i try to boot my backup disc, i get the error above. Does anyone know why this happens? Would Swiss be a better program to use?

My specific brand of discs are Sony AccuCORE DVD-R

People are still using GCOS? Just use swiss, it is the successor to it.
Does swiss load dvd-rs?

Makes sense. I'm looking up a guide now. How easy is it?
Well, you need to have the right tools to open up the gamecube and a multimeter. Pretty easy

why did you do them on mini discs if your playing on wii? they can be on normal discs, they just right all the data to the center at the same size as a gc disc

You've seen her. She has commented in One Word Story thread.

Try the bic pen method. All you need is a bic pen and a lighter
I'll try that and get back to you.

Would an easier method entail using a modified memory card with an SD card slot and load iso's from that SD card instead of using burnt discs? This way you don't have to open up the gamecube or anything like that.

edit: I believe you can find them on ebay for like $6 or so. You could even make your own modified memory card if you've got a microSD card reader and an extra memory card. But yeah it'd be pretty easy to obtain a cheap one on ebay.

I was aware of this but sinced i already had the software to load backups, i thought i should just use this method. Since i never knew i had to pot tweak my console, i never considered buying something like SD media launcher.
