Just wondering if someone could eli5 how migrating to 3dsx homebrew may protect me from future ban waves?

Are there any notable absences without 3dsx versions?

To migrate do I just inject fbi back into health and safety, remove homebrew cias and clean up tickets, then restore health and safety?

Anything else I need to consider?

It can't protect you. because if you have enabled sending info to Nintendo (setting -> internet -> spotpass -> sending of system information), it will send any information about the current title you are running (as long as you are online). At least that is what I think.
Just disable the "sending info" and you are good to go

I thought this had been proven to be inaccurate. Someone used wireshark to analyse the data sent to Nintendo and it still includes what title you are playing (Fbi etc) even with spotpass etc off.

if so, you can just wait for ban and then unban yourself with someone's friendcode :D. But .3dsx files won't protect you against being banned.

Because by simply using Rosalina you can make any stock application (music player ect) launch the homebrew launcher making it impossible for Nintendo to know what you are running if they are only getting data for a stock application.

They do though? With Rosalina you can make anything launch HBL (like Health and Safety or the Sound app, the camera, anything) and it's the thing that will be shown as currently played. So if 3DS decides to send any info to Nintendo, the only thing they will know is that you are, for example, taking photos while in fact you are exporting saves with JKSM.

It won't. The only way to fully protect yourself is to not have modded your system software/used brew. Its unclear how they detect the hack but I cab assure you there's a range of ways they can check. Regardless nothing you do will make you impervious to the ban. Also whoever the hell did that's wire shark check is full of crap.... the system does report current titles to your friends.... a list that's routed through there servers. Easy enough to see an unauthorized software from there. Either way disable Wi-Fi when using homebrew and I recommend disabling all data collection services. That's the safest you can get

Not true. Just tested it. If you look via rosalina to running titles, it shows 3dsx_app

It still shows up as Nintendo 3ds sound in suspended software and in currently playing on my friends list.Even when I'm running doom as a .3dsx.What are you talking about?

If you go to rosalina, there is a process called 3dsx_app (homebrew). That will be there no matter how you run your homebrew (via injecting it or hb launcher or second entrypoint).

So you are saying the processing list data gets sent to Nintendo.
