I ran into a couple of problems with Omega Ruby. I deleted the update of the game to be able to use v1.0 cheats.
Any of the "Hold R" under "Pokemon Codes" crash my game. Im not at a computer so i cant put the crash dump here.
But hey! Maybe you could also update the cheats?

it worked for me (i have a EU N3ds)
