Ok So about 6 months ago (guessing), I hacked my 3ds, I have no idea which tutorial i used, but I do know what programs are on my sdcard.

CHMM2
CTR-Httpawn V1.01
Decrypt9WIP
DSP Dump
EmuNand9
Eshop
Hans
Head Tracking Demo ????

I also have a luma directory

Any help with how to update my firmware and update anything else that needs to be updated. Also if someone could tell me what kind of hack I did that would be helpful!

Thanks

Which system version are you on? Boot your 3DS while holding select and tell me which Luma version you're in.

Luma3ds V5.5
System Firmware 11.0.0-33u

ok so i think i used menuhax and it must have been about a year ago. I need to update firmware and looks like luma3ds is now 8.1, is there any need to update fbii, or any other part?

Thanks for your response!

You can only update to 7.0.5 with your setup. If you want all the latest features you'll have to follow https://3ds.guide from the beginning, on your sysNAND. And it would be a good idea to uninstall menuhax first (boot up without your SD card in, then put it in, and change your theme).

Ok so I go to getting started and start there? or do i click on Updating B9s or A9lh to B9s. If I start at getting started and I get the firmware upgrade it looks like I will need to use Boot9strap using DSI but I do not have 2 devices. I did just notice that I do have a9lh, so I am guessing i need to start at A9LH to B9s? and when do I upgrade the firmware? Also I need to know if I follow the upgrade process do I still delete menuhax?

Thanks

Are you sure you're on A9LH?
If the Luma config appears almost immediately when you hold Select on boot, then you have A9LH, as menuhax takes like 10 seconds just to load.
Just FYI, having arm9loaderhax.bin on the SD doesn't mean you have A9LH, as Luma requires that file even on menuhax setups.
Yes follow A9LH to B9S after confirming that you have A9LH. It's much faster than following the guide from scratch.

If you definitely have a9lh (check by holding Select on boot) then yep, follow https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s

If you have a9lh you're not likely to have menuhax as well, so don't worry about uninstalling it.

Do I want to move my emunand to my cfw?
https://3ds.guide/move-emunand

Also do I upgrade my firmware for 3ds now or after?

**UPDATE**

Got it working and have created a shortcut to the tutorial so next time I know which one I used. Thanks to Quantumcat and anyone else who helped!
