Hi guys i forgot my Gamepad at home.
Now I have to change my Resolution but for that I need the gamepad!
So i thought about using Hid to Vpad to change it.

WILL THIS WORK?

In reality all these threads belong in the HID to gamepad thread. Not their own each separate thread.

Again this should have been asked in your original thread or in the hid to VPAD thread. And as far as I'm aware hid to VPAD won't help to change the resolution as all the settings you need for this are displayed on the WiiU gamepad not on the TV screen and there is no way to display them on the TV even going to Settings on the WiiU without a gamepad will display a message telling you to switch the gamepad on to enter settings. If you have a Linux PC or laptop I believe there is a way to use that instead of the wiiu gamepad display.

Im sorry for posting it here and this wont happen again. Thanks for your help and advice. Oh but Im sure you could change settings with the buttons, someone already told me what to press when in the settings.

Sorry you have been told wrong information like I said the settings screen won't even load without the gamepad and there is no secret button combo's to do that like you can do on a PS3 ect.

I Maybe explained it wrong do you know if its possible if I
Start the Wii U and Spoof the Gamecube controller as Gamepad, then open the System settings?
Then do like 2xR 1xA 3xLeft and A to change the settings?

I'm pretty sure you need the gamepad to actually apply the patches for HidToVpad to work.

The system settings screen won't load without a gamepad being connected like i said before LOL. But yes hid to VPAD will get round this but then you are fucked because whoever told you that code to enter was talking bullshit it is made up and will not work there is zero and I repute zero way to change the resolution without a gamepad unless you have Haxchi and sysconftool installed you can even use a wiimote with sysconfigtool to change the resolution.

You can't do it without a gamepad plain and simple. As mentioned you can emulate the gamepad using a PC and whole lot of faffing, but hid to vpad still requires the physical gamepad to be present. That aside, if you launch the homebrew launcher, it won't work without a gamepad attached anyway.

You should research a bit and read previous threads as all of this has been mentioned before ad nauseum.

Because the person who gave you the code lied there is no code to do what you want I don't know him many times I need to say that. And yes sysconfigtool will let you change from hdmi to component you will need to Google for it as it's against site rules to post a link to it on here.

Well I gave up, Sysconfig tool is a big no no for me, and the Gamepad Emulation still requires a HDMI cable for the Pairing process.
Well thank you guys anyway for being helpful.

To Remember: Never be dumb like :shit:me:shit: and leave your Gamepad at home :nayps3:
