Any size sufficient to hold your emunand!
If you want a Gateway-compatible one, use "full" - almost every other CFW supports the more space efficient rednand, for which "min" is enough
The reason for the options is that when repartitioning the SD for emunand, you're not necessarily forced to use it on your console
Ok i choose that. now it asks rednand or gw emunand or dont setup?Use "full" then
The manual size options are only really useful if you're partitioning the card for use on a different console
Then the most efficient options are "min" "rednand"I dont use gw
Eh.. but i already choose full like you told me, so i need to redo it and choose min, and rednand? Then the most efficient options are "min" "rednand"
(well, the really most efficient option is no rednand or emunand at all, lol)
YepEh.. but i already choose full like you told me, so i need to redo it and choose min, and rednand?
Correct, if you don't have gateway, emunand/rednand only have disadvantages, unless you really want to have two operating systems installed on your console and alternate between themLoL with the latest sentence you mean, emunand takes space therefore not as effecient as 100% sysnand? otherwhise youre confusing me
Great! thanks alot for your quick replyYep

In Luma settings, you can indeed select if you prefer to boot rednand/emunand or sysnand
You don't need to always change that option; you can boot the other one by holding a button (probably R, but check in the Luma documentation on github)
did you clone sysnand to emunand?Bump, really like to solve this
No, my sysnand has 300 titles installed that uses like 200 gb lol.so i could never copy that to the 20 gb i have left?? if im understanding correctlydid you clone sysnand to emunand?
no lol what are you on about. Sysnand is the chip on the console it has to clone that to make a working emunand. Not the games installed to the sd . If you don't clone it you don't have an os to bootNo, my sysnand has 300 titles installed that uses like 200 gb lol.so i could never copy that to the 20 gb i have left?? if im understanding correctly
Im confused.. i installed my games on the sysnand os no? i didnt create emunand untill just now.no lol what are you on about. Sysnand is the chip on the console it has to clone that to make a working emunand. Not the games installed to the sd . If you don't clone it you don't have an os to boot
Ok.It will clone it but after it's cloned you can format emunand to have the extra titles
OK so you open godmode9 and press home, then press SD format options and chose rednand min size if it asked you to clone say yes. After that you will need to install tiny format to the emunand to format it like new.=more than 300 titles! Profit!Ok.
So what do i need to exactly?? Sorry but im not so technical with all this.
