Help guys.

Got a new pc, 2 months old. Specs are:

I5-7600k GTX 1070 Asus z270 mobo 8 GB ram 650 psu

Problem is this, whenever i play a game on the pc and AFTER that (when i use the pc for normal usage) the screen flickers and / or goes black for a few seconds.

See links:

Black screen

Flickering

I tried a different HDMI cable Different monitor Uninstalled and installed drivers Open the case, cleansed it and re fitted the Card but the problem stays.

What could it be?

Gpu temps usually at 60-80 degree celsius

Did you try with integrated intel gpu to see if the problem isn't hdmi cable or nvidia 1070? Or if you have alternative gpu

Black screen you mean no signal? Do you have your 1070 connected when you tried the hdmi to the motherboard? If yes, I think external gpu needs to be removed for the intel gpu to work. That's at least what happened to me, but i used vga cable and removed the gpu from mobo then suddenly i got signal. I think there's another way to use both gpus on bios menu but i don't know which option it could be, I can't access right now to my pc to check bios menu (I'm far away from home).

IIRC to have the igpu work when you have both in, you have to set it to primary adapter in bios. By default I think it's "auto", so won't work with another gpu in.

I got lag with my Windows pc
It's normal to get low fps at games, the question would be do you still have black screen problem or flickering?
Intel gpu is a low level made for media things and some gaming with lowest settings.

No i cant game with this igpu so i cant check...
Sometimes when i boot the pc then the screen flickers already...
I really have to put the igpu under stress (or cpu) to 'check' if that is causes the black screens?

Dont have it man...
Gonna try to return the Card but it sucks, it will take 2 weeks before i get it back cause they are out of stock
Wait, you have taken off the 1070 from the motherboard and now using igpu. But you got the same problem, what makes you think it's 1070 problem? About vga cable, I thought you had 1 because it's mostly used cable in the past and i got 3/4 of them.
The reason i said vga is to test and see if you get the same problem, if not suspect could've been the hdmi cable but then you said that you tried a different cable and same problem appears.
I was thinking if it can be windows or another software problem.

I think i found the problem.

With the msi afterburner on i was able to see that my GPU temp was going to 82 degree Celsius.

Apperantly, the afterburner program has my GPU temp limited to 82 degree Celsius.

So, i took that limiter off and boosted my fans.

Now i am playing with 75 degree Celsius GPU and for an hour no black screen.

Does this sound Logic?

It's weird that you had flickering black screen with using igpu.
Also previous temperature seemed to be little high, not really expert about afterburn and fan speed. I guess it's normal, do you have the custom version or founders edition and do you also overclock?
Glad you solved, hoping the issue won't re appear anytime soon. I'm questioning myself if it's about settings fault or the gpu card fault.

Damn, I really would like to help. I don't know if you rma and wait 2 weeks but then you see it didn't solve, that would suck unless you're patient.

If you check for solution on google, some say it's driver fault, some say reducing monitor hz 60 to 50 then i see on youtube a service that needs to be disabled but i don't trust these videos.

I also never experienced this with my nvidia 750 ti and always updated drivers.
Let us know if you found a solution and solved.
