I'm at a bit of a struggle.

I have:
-3DS Decrypted Rom
HackingToolkit
-Luma 11.4 Sighax

I've tried extracting the ROM which is fine, but in pk3DS when I open the ROM and it shows all the options, only Randomizing starters/wild encounters/other things work. Randomizing trainers does NOT work and this is what I need help with most.

Can someone guide me? I want to make an installable .cia and not run over HANS

Can you guide me through/link me to a guide?

That person did not read your question so don't bother listening to them. They're recommending a new 'rom hack' method which is irrelevant if you can't get the editor to work in the first place.

The reason it's not working, is that it does not support SM.

pk3DS is a ROM editor for X/Y & OR/AS games with tools from various contributors.

Wrong, pk3DS does support Sun/Moon and has supported Sun/Moon for awhile now. I don't know if any official builds for pk3DS support it, but I do know that it supports it if you build it directly from the source.

As for why it's not working for OP, try another build if you can.

..Oh I've been using a build from Dec 10th. Maybe that's why? I don't know how to build anything though >.<

Where did you get your build from? A Dec. 10th build should have most (if not full) of SM support. I have edited the trainers successfully before.

Some youtube video, linked to a mega site. The trainer button WORKS but I can't get it to save the data into the actual game.

pk3DS saves automatically though (iirc). I don't have the time to test a recent build right now, but I will later tonight.

I thought this to, from previous randomizers I've made for ORAS, so when I tried I went with it, rebuilded the 3DS, convert to CIA and install, and it HADN'T randomized the trainers, but everything else I had set, it had..

Now, that's what I didn't do. I only used SaltySD to test my files and I had used a decrypted CIA to get my files. I didn't bother with the rebuilding process.

I'd much rather have a CIA because it makes it easier on the friend I'd make them for too so it's preferred if that can actually happen. I've looked up saltySD but didn't really understand what I do

Well, Luma's layeredfs feature is what I use instead of SaltySD. It's easier to set up and doesn't require a patched code.bin or code.ips unless you're using something like the no outlines patch.
