I'm having problems transferring files from old SD card (SanDisk 16gb) to new one (microcenter 32gb)

Stuff I've done on old SD card:

-https://3ds.guide/get-started-(new-3ds) followed this guide completely a few months ago, no problems
-still on 11.2 firmware, never updated after hacking
-made a emunand or sysnand backup? (I have a file called NANDmin.bin that is 1.2GBs in the files9 folder) and restored it from the guide to get MH4U back (the title the system came with it)
-deleted mh4u and added a bunch of games, roms, ntr launcher for DS game support
-I have all the files from the original modding process on the SD card I transferred over (pic will be posted below)

So since I'm on a9lh I've read here and other places that you can just copy the files from old SD card to pc to new SD card. I've done that and:

-some how MH4U pops up on this card, works, and has the ORIGINAL save file of the game. When I say original I mean I had a 40 hour save on it from playing, deleted it and started over and had a 90 hour save file. The 90 hour save isn't there but there 40 hour save is.
-the ntr launcher for DS games is shown on the home screen and works.
-the folder I made called Homebrew which contains stuff like FBI / FreeShop exists but it's completely empty.

And that's it. None of the other games i downloaded, FBI/HBL/FreeShop do not show up on my homescreen. I turn off the 3ds, turn it back on and hold select and I have Luma on the new card but it doesn't seem to matter because I can't even access fbi or anything.

Things I've tried on new SD card:

-formatted twice (the new SD card is FAT32)
-set Luma so it boots from sysnand (this is default from guide) and tried booting it from both sys and emunand
-removed NANDmin.bin from files9 folder (incase it's reading that?) and tried booting from sys and emunand
-Note that putting in the old 16 GB SD cards, the 3DS works fine and everything is normal.

And it still just shows me mh4u and ntr ds. Someone told me that I had an extra file or folder from the modding process that I was supposed to remove, I read the guide 2-3 times again and removed everything that wasn't in this image (2nd image) but still only have access to MH4U and NTR Launcher. Can someone help me out please?

EDIT: Clarifying something, the homscreen on the new 32GB SD card is the same color it was before I ever hacked the 3DS (black). It's like it reverted back to that state even though I have Luma3DS on it. The 16 GB old SD card homescreen is blue (I assume that's the default because that's what it was when it went back to 2.1.0 for hacking).

  1. Put your 16GB card in your system.
  2. Boot while holding select button.
  3. Make sure "Autoboot SysNAND" is NOT selected.
  4. Make sure "Show NAND or user string in System Settings" IS checked.
  5. Press start to reboot.
  6. Go into System Settings.
  7. What does it say before your system version? It should say Sys, but I suspect yours say Emu.
You can restore your EmuNAND to SysNAND using your 16GB card, then copy everything over to your new card. Or you can format your 32GB card for EmuNAND, backup your EmuNAND on your 16GB card, then restore EmuNAND to 32GB card.

Thanks for the reply. It does say Sys. Sys 11.2.0-35U.

It has your 90 hour save file?
If that's the case, don't delete/format 16GB until you're done with everything. Also backup your NAND.bin file. Also make a new backup of your SysNAND.

On the 32GB card, format it using EmuNAND9 or GodMode9 and select No EmuNAND option. Copy your files from 16GB to 32GB card, reboot and see what happens.

MH4U isn't on my 16gb SD card anymore. It came with the 3ds on a 4gb card, I believe I system transferred over to a 16 gb, deleted the save and made my own. Around 90 hours I hacked the 3ds and it mentioned backing up and restoring it so you wouldn't lose games / save files. I did that and I used JKSM to make a copy of the save and deleted the game (should be 90 hour one, sorry if none of this is important, just trying to be clear).

Just to be super clear, you want me to:

-backup the contents of 16gb card to pc including the NANDmin.bin file I have on it
-backup my SysNAND (which would produce another NAND or NANDmin.bin right?) through GodMode9, copy this to pc as well
-turn off 3ds, put in 32gb card
-boot up GodMode9, format 32gb card with no emunand option
-copy the contents of 16gb card with the new nand to 32 and test

Does it matter if the new copy is nand or NANDmin?

Yes. Keep NAND backups in the cloud or your backup hard drive. They can save your console if something goes wrong.
I would suggest you rename NANDmin.bin to something recognizable. If you have more than one console. I would suggest including the serial number in the file name. Just rename the bin and sha the same and it'll be fine. I usually include serial number and system version. Decrypt9 lets you pick a name with serial already in it. I don't think GodMode9 supports this.

It seems i actually don't have GodMode9 or Decrypt9, I have Hourglass9. Between GM and decrypt, which one would you suggest getting?

Decrypt9 is easier to use imo. I've used it for a while so maybe that's why. I keep all three on my SD card. You can pick and choose what you want to use for what you have to do.
The 3DS Guide has a GodMode9 Usage page. So if you're unfamiliar with either, it might be easier to learn that one using that page.

I backed up everything, formatted the card, restored, same issue. However, someone else in another forum suggested that it's loading the old profile and not the new one and to delete one of the folders in the Nintendo 3DS folder.

I did and it worked. I'm sorry for wasting both our times but thank you anyway.

Welcome. I was going to suggest that earlier. I'll suggest it earlier in the future. Seemed unlikely for when you followed the Guide.
