I really, really, REALLY want to play Castlevania SotN. I tried to play it on my N3DS but I would get like 20fps. Does anyone know of the best settings to increase it, if at all possible? And for that matter, the settings for any emulator?

I use the .cia version too, that game just can't run at a decent speed even with cfw on N3DS!

I'm running the psx emulator on a N3DS. I fiddled around with the settings and ended up making it worse. Turned off audio and V sync and now it's at 7 fps. I can't do the .cia, I'm on 11.4. Could it be a problem with the BIOS as well?

You will never get acceptable speed using the 3dsx version. Dynarec is critical.

For best results place PSVita like so:

now you have the best setup for playing PSX games on your 3DS :creep:

I think the newest release was in March 2017 (1.5?), but apparently you need BIOS SCHP 5000/5001/5002 to make it runat 55-60fps.

I found a link to the .cia in a thread, so I couldn't tell you if there is a .3dsx file.

In the mean time, I think the (retroarch 3DS) thread should still have the steps to get decent fps, which includes disabling audio synch, setting one of the audio drivers to 'nearest', etc,.

------------
http://gbatemp.net/threads/pcsx-rearmed-crashing-help.469852/

The steps were removed, but start start with auido synch=disabled and getting the audio driver set to 'nearest from the sound resampler. Play around with the Mhz, frame skip, etc,. It won't be perfect, but sighax is out, so maybe you'll get .cia permissions Soon™©®?
