Does the regular eshop have custom music? Theming? Download apps from Nintendo's servers without paying a cent? No. But guess what? This does.

I think when they mean clone, they mean an alternative, or else freeShop would be very different.
The way it's technically supposed to be used it to have your enctitlekey.bin to download the games you already have. (Although virtually nobody uses it that way.)

But those are cosmetic stuff, things clones have, adding whole new features is different
So? This isn't supposed to be a literal clone, if it was it'd be called OpeneShop or something and would try to replicate every single bit of UI. Saying that this program shouldn't have new cool features the original didn't have is dumb.

Yeah, but why put a feature that is already in an app everyone has (FBI)

Why have an clone in the first place when everyone has the original?
Not everyone likes the original

Im confused I have installed free eshop v2 this is a new update or a new release?
New fork, but this will be the official version now.

Those are cosmetic additions, not functionality additions. This is meant to functionally do what the eShop does.

Yes, actually. If you install a ticket, you can very easily use the eShop to download and install that title.

FreeShop is not meant to be a generic downloader, it is designed to implement the functionality of downloading titles from the eShop with a better interface. Implementing something like TitleDB downloading, or non-CDN CIA downloading, or whatever, completely goes against the core concept of FreeShop.

We're not mentioning this again. Drop the topic. You know why people don't like the original.
"The Original" in their context meant the eShop, not TheCruel's version of FreeShop, just FYI.

Again? Also i'm just talking why they should add TitleDB, I was just asking why people don't like eshop.
The eShop is slow, and tedious to find things on. Alternatives are always good. Read my reply as to why your idea will most likely never be implemented.

In all seriousness though, I feel like OpenShop would be a nice rebranding of this app if the dev wants to deviate from the freeShop name.
With "Open" having the "e" from "eShop" inserted there, and the Shop part as whatever they want haha.
But that's just me throwing ideas, I'm fine with the name as it is, and if they change it I'm in as well.
