I actually prefer the translucent look of the controller shell. A shame you covered that up.
I don't really care much about the controller being transparent, it's a controller.

Looks horrible, why would you want to do that to a beautiful console.
Not sure what exactly is beautiful about it, it's basically a piece of a black screen-tablet.

I imagine that even with that skin, you cant put the Switch on the dock, right?

I think that the only part that needs protection are the Joysticks cause those can peel off.

How does the rubber feel? My hands get sweaty and thus far the change from the crazy gloss of the Wii U pro is enough to make me more comfortable. But I'd like to inquire about this rubber cover.

This is the worst thing I have ever seen in my entire life. This is worse then the starving puppies commercial.

I never understood people who get silicone gloves. They look terrible. What's the point of them? I'm sure they feel nice when they're new but after 2 uses they get all grimy and dusty.

But hey, if you're happy with your purchase, good for you :)

The silicone case that I ordered from Aliexpress arrived today and I'm very pleased with it. It feels very sturdy, even more comfortable and came with two grips perfect for the Switch analogue sticks with the case (the grips I had previously on it before clashed with the case).

Ever since the Wii U generation, I got used to purchase silicone cases for controllers (WiiU Pro Controller + WiiU GamePad) and this is by far my favourite.

Picture of the Switch Pro Controller and the Switch console with their respective cases:

Hm, yeah. The Switch one I had to make some adjustments because in its original state the buttons were just untouchable.
What grip is that on your Switch?
I have this one and it fits like a glove, and makes the JoyCons far more comfortable too: https://www.amazon.com/PDP-Nintendo-Switch-Joy-Gel-Guards/dp/B01N10WJ09
I'd recommend it if you want something less ghetto :P

Normally I'd agree with you, but the PDP Gel Guards I linked above are actually really good, they fit so well that they look like part of the controller :)
Also, what would you rather have: A grimy and dusty controller, or a grimy and dusty silicone grip?
If anything I think silicone grips would take longer to get noticeably grimy because of the rubberized finish.

It definitely does look better! At $20 though, I'd have to ask what purpose they serve? You're not paying $20 just for looks, I'm sure... right?

Also, controllers don't get grimy. Not mine, anyway. Only my Wii Remotes get grimy, because I use the silicone gloves that came with it lmao

It came with my PDP starter kit, but I was planning on buying it anyway. I have big hands and it helps a LOT in making the JoyCons more comfortable.
Controllers definitely get grimy after 10 years of use, it shows on my original GameCube controller. It takes years of moderate use for that to happen though (unless you're a pig)

Looks like a generic controller for the Switch, at least that grip should have a cut out to show the Switch logo, kinda like those iPhone cases with a hole in the back for the Apple logo

I know people might not like the silicone grips over their joysticks. But I had to buy some for the Switch Joy-cons, because they are so small and slippery in your hands and my family don't give a crap about how much the Joy-cons cost because they didn't buy them. So silicone grips are the way to go with clumsy people wanting to play. :switch:

I never understood the appeal of silicone grips/skins for controllers. I've never found them to look particularly attractive. I don't care particularly if my controllers get a little dirty or if they get a little scratched (though none really ever have), and they seemingly make it slightly more of a hassle to push the recessed buttons like the home and snapshot buttons. The only use they might serve as far as my interests go would be to make the controller more comfortable in your hands, but the Switch Pro Controller is hella comfortable to begin with, I'd go as far as to say its overall the most comfortable controller I've held.

If you're happy with it, thats cool, I just personally don't get the appeal.

To be honest, the Switch Pro Controller looks identical to an Xbox controller so the only difference that the SPC has to an Xbox controller are the button layout and that the triggers are digital instead of analogue.

And again, it's not like Nintendo could make up an entirely new controller layout either because it has been perfected.
