I have 2 3ds (1 old and 1 new) on 11.3.
I put Luma on them both long ago (11.2)

I havent changed any files (no updates to anything) since I followed the guide on 3ds.guide for 11.2.

what things should I do on them before updating to 11.4?

updating luma. u'll get a black screen if u don't assuming ur luma builds r old. not a problem though. u can update luma after updating the system. I'd suggest doing that first though or u may think u bricked.

Yea, all you really have to do is update Luma to the latest version. I would suggest that you at least make a NAND backup before you do though, so that you can go back to your currect firmware version if you want.

I forgot to mention making a NAND dump. I did on another post regarding a system transfer. it's been a long day for me. yeah, do that with hourglass or godmode 9. it might take twenty minutes or so, but always backup ur NAND before updating or on a regular basis in case something goes wrong be it with a game or just the NAND.
