I get this message no matter what SD card I use and as soon as I remove the SD card I get a message saying SD card has been removed. These messages are very conflicting of one another so it has me a bit stumped. Google is turning up nothing so im hoping GBAtemp experts have a resolution to this problem I have formatted the cards multiple times both with windows own formatter and a program called EaseUS Partition Master. I am trying to install some homebrew following this guide btw

https://3ds.guide/

Huge thanks in advance

Try to format using guiformat.
Can you tell us which step were you on when you got the message?
Please show us your sd card so we can see the files in it.

I am following this guide as I have firmware 11.3.0
https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)

I follow it to the T and even have my 3ds off when I insert the SD card. However as soon as I turn it on I get the error message and it wont read anything on the card

If it wasn't being read, it would not boot at all. It sounds like something important is corrupted, try go to the SD mangment settings and see if you can view your installed games

its not viewing anything from an SD card. Its not even detecting it. I even formatted one and put in in with nothing on it thinking the 3ds would add files to it automatically. Still get the can not detect error

is there a way to fix this or do I have to buy a new SD replacement part?

also TY very much for all the help!

Are you using any sort of adapter, like to use microSD in an old 3ds which normally takes full size SD cards? Sometimes the adapters just go bad.

ok this is what is nagging me. It says it can read the SD card but it wrote some 3ds system files to the SD card. Any ideas?
