Okay, I'm not quite sure what to do with this, but basically the place I got this from says is supposed to be used with a emulator, which emulators, well for some samples, snes9x, epsxe, mame, dos, and some others. But i dunno what to do with it.
According to the info, is supposed to be is supposed to be a HD image upscaler for retro games using 2D sprite emulators. Is called XBRZ And supposed to be better than the HQX.
SOURCE
Basically, what I was trying to do is use this in other emulators, like kega fusion or Visualboy Advance. As you can see, I'm able to use it in SNES9X, is already there in options by default. No special action required, just select it from the menu.
In kega fusion, you need these plugin filters, I dunno where to make them, i just find them online somewhere, there is a few included with the zip download of the emulator, the xBRZ i have now i found online, though according to the source is 1.2, the latest version is known to be 1.4, which scales up to 6X, as you can see in the previous image above for snex9x. The RPI files are the image filter plugins kega fusion uses. As for visualboy advance, i guess is the same as snes9x, is built into the emulator, i couldn't find no external files like kega fusion. Some emulators have it part of the executable file while some are external video plugins like kega or playstation emulators like epsxe, that don't require special builds just to use it.
So i was wondering if anyone know how i could maybe do something about it for the emulator? The emulators i would wanna use it for to start with is kega fusion, some nes emulator, and visualboy advance. Not sure which nes emulator, in the past i used nestopia, so far is been proven to be one of the greatest i used, probably only close to fceux (formally known as FCE ultra)
I already have it working for snex9x, and so far is the best and only snes emulator i need, i uses zsnes in the past but now i use this cause of the filter.
Playstation already configured using epsxe with the filter, is not 6XBRZ like snes, but is okay i guess, for a system that is 32-Bit and has polygons, i haven't tried any n64 emulators yet, but hope one has something just as nice. I also noticed there is a sample image of doom, which is a pc game, so i assume this may support some pc games as well? I dunno much about how it works or programs but i want to use it as much and many things as i can possibly.
