I am thinking of buying the ps4 pro in the future along with gran turismo sport limited edition, and I was wandering if I will have to put the game disc in the console every time I want to play the game after the game is installed on the hard drive.

Yes its stupid a question, and?

and whats the problem with having to use not even 5 seconds to pop a disc in the drive?

Getting up every minute to replace discs is annoying. And what if the disc gets scratched? You think I will pay sixty or more dollars for a disc I already payed for? Screw that!

Digital is where its at.

Assuming you have it installed, you could scratch the disc an extreme amount and it would still work.

People complain about this but their the same people that boycotted the Xbox One DRM thing. Can't have your cake etc.

Okay but can Sony figure out how to make changing discs less annoying?

No one is gonna make changing discs less annoying. Thats what you get as a down side when buying disc. I buy digital and my down side is that I cant sell it back when I want another game. But I can play whatever I want on a 2tb hdd :)

Unless you buy it from playstation store, you have to use the disc, which pisses me off cause it dumps all the data from the disc onto the system which defeats the purpose of disc in the first place. If i wanted to do that, i would have paid for it on psn, not buy a disc thinking it wouldn't store 30GB on the HDD. :glare:

The heck is wrong with you sony. Install data. 2017.:nayps3:

pretty sure PS4 discs are blu ray so shouldn't be too scared of malfunction from scratches.

I just deal with it. I like collecting games physically but I agree, its kinda dumb to need to switch disks every time. But the games arent serialized. Small mercy though, serialized disks are a nightmare.

Had people not acted like retards to Microsoft's original drm proposition back in 2013(??) and was allowed to for fill their original idea of cd keys for console games, I dare say Sony would have soon followed suit.
