*This post has potential spoilers, you have been warned*

So I already beat the game before I started going through it so don't give me that, but has anyone else noticed that certain things have changed in the game? Here's an example.

#spoilers#

the dark link gear has a night speed bonus when the set is worn, in the guide it says "if you upgrade all three of these armor pieces to level 2, wearing the full set will grant you the night speed bonus etc etc". This is on page 342. Now if you go back to page 282, you can see that there are no upgrades. Now was this a flaw or was it a beta that they wrote the guide on?

Here's another.

Page 282, the ancient cuirass [guardian gear] says that you need x3 star fragments for the final upgrade...I just upgraded this and it only required 1. Maybe they changed it later realizing that they wanted to ease up on the time consumption of gameplay. My ancient helm also says I only need 1 star fragment and 2 giant cores but yet it says 3 star fragments and 3 giant cores in the guide.

Just a thought, but maybe they eased up the game a bit right before initial production?
Thoughts?
I can understand a typo but these are pretty significant. If anyone else noticed others please share

Every strategy guide has changes, these are from people playing it, not Nintendo being like here's all the current info, human error occurs.. My issue is the spine is junk and without even using the book other then the first opening did I notice it already splitting the back.. But I guess that's what happens when we let's some hack jobs like piggyback produce it vs prima..

I've emailed them about corrected pages being released via PDF on their website and they did confirm that they would be doing this in the future. Along with some wrong info (I heard it's also missing one of the Korok Seeds) such as the rupee worth, if you look at the thumbnail picture for the Barbarian Armor it has a tiny picture of the Sand Boots imprinted over it. And the picture for the fortified pumpkin ingredient is actually a silent princess. Like, these aren't even typos or info that would have changed, these are straight up lack of quality control. This is my first guide from Piggyback and will likely be my last.

Those are fair points fbomb, I also found another stating that the statue you trade stamina and hearts for only costs you 20 rupees when in fact it costs over 200 for the full swap. Not even close! Kinda ridiculous that there are so many flaws in an "official guide"

No, you sell a container to the statue for 100 rupees, be it a health or stamina container. Then, you buy back the container of your choice for 120 rupees. So in the end, it costs 20 rupees for a swap.

Yea like I can't image making a guide, but them having so many flaws in the guide itself and the quality is pathetic, small flaws here and there of a lower price or an exact this or exact that.. But this guide for 45 dollars is bullshit.. I've never seen a Prima guide with this many issues.. It would help if Nintendo helped them fill in blanks, but this is not on Nintendo for the errors, this is on piggyback and there player/writer being lazy..

Really? Reading it in the guide and then talking to the statue must've confused me. Wish this was clarified better........

Lol what is there to clarify? The statue tells you that he'll buy one of your containers for 100 and that you can buy one back for 120. 120 - 100 = 20. Not confusing in any way.

"Cap of the Sky" what?
It's called Cap of the Wild as far as i know
I believe there is armor of the sky, it might not be obtainable though, yet. I like to hack the Wii U version and I think the Sky armor looks like links armor from skyward sword

The guides were finished being produced months before the games went gold, thus there are errors.

In the 90s the problem was far less common. But back then guides didn't come out sometimes for a year and a half after the game. Thus less copies were produced and harder to find

There are 5 missing shrines and some korok seeds are missing too.
Though not exactly wrong, the second part of the lost woods is pretty poorly described (just a vaguely acurate path drawn on the map and messy screenshots telling you "turn here", they don't tell you the actual trick behind it)

I didn't actually use the guide for the main quest so who knows what else is messed up there.
What version is your guide?
Hell if I know, I pre-ordered it back when it was announced and I got it the day of release. It's the collectors edition if that helps.

I was curious because the Deluxe didn't come out until the 11th of April and I was wondering if it took so long to come out because they fixed the issues that you've shown.

Does the book have a full map of all the Locations?
You know the words you get when you enter a plae at the bottom left corner?
I ask because I am missing only one location from the full map to fet 100% and I can't seem to find it.
I'm at 99.1% and it kills me haha.

There's a map of those available online (Google "Breath of the Wild Waypoint Map" and it's the first one, and you can hover over each dot to see the name).

I have the collector edition of the guide and it isn't miss any shrines. It's just the book is poorly organized. Some shrines and some the seeds are revealed in side quest and story chapters instead of their actual sections of the guide. I have not looked at the post/giant map that came with the guide yet. I plan on getting it laminated at Staples so it doesn't get damaged first. My friend sent me pics of his copy unfolded and it is truly gigantic. Nearly the size of a family of 6 dinner room table.

To be clear though, I have basically only used the guide for maps. However I have browsed through it's many pages once or twice
