Funny how you put words on my mouth that i never said. Where exactly did i say i wanted the switch to be equally as powerful as the ps4? Where? Show me please, i'm waiting.

You like it or not, it's a home console. Nintendo themselves said it will not replace their handheld market, the 3ds successor is aimed to do exactly that.
Then what the hell is your point? Whether YOU see it as a console or portable is irrelevant to me. It's both. The first thing I thought when I seen the Switch was "HOLY SHIT A NEW PORTABLE WITH 720p SCREEN AND NINTENDO GAMES THAT I CAN OUTPUT TO MY TV YEEES!".

What did you see?

Check it again:

It's being marketed as a home console that you can play on the go, not as a handheld you can connect to the tv. Stop with that bullshit.

Source.

The marketing says that it is a home console but the hardware-technology-architecture Is clearly from a mobile-portable device.

If you're a company that makes cellphones and suddendly you decide to call them "Home consoles", now matter you much you call it that way it is still a cellphone.

What the hell do you people expect a mobile device to have, a freaking GTX 1080?!
Very good! enough is never enough for some! if it had 2xGTX1080ti's in SLI mode portable, people would still complain and say they are being throttled by the CPU or something daft like that. You hit the nail right on the head, what were people expecting in a portable device???, I know it can be docked but its mainly based on its portable capabilities and that's obvious, if it was say had this extra special higher spec X1 Nvidia chip everyone's moaning about not having in it and say had a massive custom built special GPU for massive power the Switch would of then cost about £600+ to buy then everyone would of mentioned nothing about the fact its very powerful but mainly then onto the only fact, its out of most average peoples price range and then it would of been all about, why did Nintendo make such a silly mistake could they have not made a balance of both and brought the cost down! You can't win either way, people seem to think these companies can easily manufacture on a massive scale a complete handheld/console with a huge CPU & GPU and loads of ram and a big PSU to go with it and still sell it @£400.00 or less!!!

You do mod it.

So you're saying that modding my console turns my 3DS into a home console just because the portable can push pixels to a TV.
Not at all, just wondering if there was a new way to output my 3DS to tv without modding it lol.

One of my buying incentives for the Switch was the TV output.
Although I still would have bought it if it didn't.

Why can't people enjoy consoles for what they are instead of doing stupid comparisons that don't solve a damn thing? Is that too much to ask for? Oy vey.
I can't answer that. I'm too busy streaming a movie from my pc to my tv while playing botw on my switch and eating perogies.

I've never understood people like that, if you really care about graphics horsepower, build yourself a gaming PC and be quiet.
Thats a great idea. I must not have thought things through,i will just spend 1000$ on a computer so I can play the new switch emulator why even get a switch? AmiRight?????

Oh you've developed a switch emulator? How about sharing with the rest of us?

I feel that the reason why are marketing it as a home console you can take on the go rather than a handheld that you can dock to a TV is because they don't have to worry about the handheld aspect of it. Excluding mobile phones and such, Nintendo has a really tight grip on portable gaming. Sony seems to have abandoned it, and no one else is stepping up. When you really think about it, the Switch is quite a bit more powerful than one would expect from a Nintendo portable. Like, the GBA is a portable SNES, but weaker in numerous aspects. The DS is a portable N64, but relatively weaker. The 3DS is a portable GC/Wii, but still weaker. The Switch? The pattern would assume a portable Wii U but weaker, but that's not how it is. It's fairly stronger, and that's not including docked mode.

In all honesty, the Switch is what folks were kinda expecting the Wii U would allow, the latter which didn't.

Yeah, my comment was more directed to the people that call it "Underpowered" because it's being marketed as a home console, when the tech behind it is actually pretty powerfull considering the form factor.
