why cant i make save states work on the genplus core?

It juat freezes everything when i try to save

What version are you using? I'm using 1.4.1 and save states work fine. 1.5.0 is a broken mess.

i would gladly throw in 10 euros for a n64 port with dynarec, i dont care much for psx since i have both a backwards compat ps3 for tv play and psp for ps1 portable play so dont care at all for ps1 since i already have 2 devices for emulation on it :P

I'd like to have both, in honesty, just for the sake of irony of playing Sony games on a Nintendo console, that, and Mednafen/Beetle PSX is one of the better PSX emulators, and proper N64 emulation that has higher compatibility than Wii64 ever had.

Snes 1.54.1*
Snes9x (Normal) is now based on 1.54.1 and not 1.53 way back since the 1.3.6 nightlies.
Snes9x 2010 I believe it's 1.52 or something near that.

I haven't used the newest builds because Haxchi + HBL/RPX channel seems to break it when I load CFW, crashing RA as a whole (at least, as of 1.5.0 that's the case, I did report it but I haven't bothered reopening the report, it's a lost cause IMO). Only way I can use the latest nightly builds is if I sacrifice libfat speed boosts, I'm the only one to have this issue AFAIK, so as such, I stick to 1.4.1 :( No Snes9x 1.54.1 for me (as it actually is very close to Higan in terms of accuracy, more so than 1.53).

where are the config files?

SD:/RetroArch/ I believe

Right, got save states working on both Sega Genesis and SNES. Thank you all!

Now....

how can i make the Final Burn roms work?

I got the roms, i tried to load it zipped and unzipped. Nothing works

Also, Scan Directory is supposed to freeze everything right?

Hey there, I have a question about the mGBA, I am playing the Pokemon Red Hack Red++ and it should be in color, but it is monochrome.
Is there an option to color Gameboy Games?

Thanks for the people who made retroarch possible. I see no harm talking about playstation again and again.. so stop bashing the randomizer for no reason. I dream of playing my old tomb raider games on my Wii U :(

They started a bounty for dynarec on bountysource, or Patreon, and we can help out by giving donations whenever and wherever possible.

Just out of curiosity, is there any way to save separate video settings/inputs for each core? Every time I change the screen ratio it makes it the default for every core, and whenever I change inputs it resets them to default when I restart RetroArch. If I could solve this the emulator would be pretty much perfect.

I cant even make it save the video settings

Im using each core separately. Every time i open a core the screen ratio is back to default

Hopefully next we'll see Reicast GX (yes this is a Dream!!).
lolol one thing is dreaming off n64 and ps1 another is dreamcast, it will never happen sadly, with such a lack of interest in even a n64 or ps1 port you cant expect anyone basicaly to redo the entire dreamcast emu in ppc code and make it multithread and dynarec at all.

Nvidia Shield Tv (2015) is the place IMO to be playing RA ATM. I say the 2015 model because they're being sold pretty cheap now days :) + they can play most of RA cores at full speed without any problems, Even has Dolphin support which just keeps getting better & better each day. The WiiU version RA is ok, But I dont see it getting much better than it already is. Its about as good as playing it on a NES Mini.. It works & is cool & all, But thats about it...

Still I prefer to use the Wii U console: It natively supports Wii and Gamecube games, plus the Wii U has some of the best games I've ever played (look no further, Zelda BOTW!).

So ideally for me I'd use it as an ultimate gaming machine.
