So stupid question. On doing addons, If I only do some, and then later want to add more. Do I have to reselect the ones I already had installed orig?

Also oddly been trying to get Picodrive to load some games, but not sure if that xmb option I did with it worked or not.
Many games I load for Sega just returns to the main menu, so not sure if thats a gens plus or pico drive.

If you are talking about the hmods, no, once you upload them, they are on your system and will only be uninstalled if you uninstall them. If you have the retroarch configuration installed, you can select the config and choose load cores to see what cores you currently have installed.

I only used picodrive for 32x games and have never used the xmb option...

Check and make sure that you changed the path to load to the emulator... (not sure what the path is for genesis games using picodrive, I know for 32x games though it is: bin/32x)

I use genesis_plus_gx and have not had any problems with genesis game loading... the path is: /bin/md

Hope that helps.

I updated 2.14b to 2.15 and replaced the old snes2010 hmod with the new one. No other installation differences, but when I try to sync the games with 2.15, I get a warning that there are too many games. I was able to install the same games previously with no problem, and even save a few times using the glitched snes2010 core.

Total writable memory: 381.6MB
Available memory for games: 293.4MB
Used by saves: 6.5MB
Used by other files: 59.1MB

That only totals 359MB .... Where is the missing 22.6MB?

What happens if I use the NESC's system restore feature with hakchi2 and all the extra games and cores added? What does it remove?

Odd, pretty sure you are over... my system clean only has 300MB of total space...

Cores, saves and box art all take up space as well...

The NES system restore will wipe out all save spots and and allow you to choose your language again... nothing more...

Cores and art make up the 59.1MB, I counted them up.

I did the factory reset, and now game saves are at 0.3MB, but it still caps me at 293MB of ROM space. Also, as many have mentioned, the original 30 are now part of the total, as before it wasn't.

I'm just going to revert back to 2.14b and use the updated snes2010 core. 2.15 is artificially reducing storage capacity.

Edit: First I completely removed Hakchi and restored the original kernel. Then I reinstalled hakchi 2.15 and it now leaves me with less capacity as before, only 292.6MB for games. The total is 344.5, which sounds about right. But it claims that the original 30 games (which seems to take up a surprising 20MB) is part of the 344.5MB, when that just wasn't the case in prior versions.

Folks were requesting to Cluster for amount of free space after all the hmods and hacks were installed..now we can see how big most of them are, and what ACTUAL space we have available..

I ran into the same thing. I was able to sneak past 300 before with a warning. Now it won't allow me to do it. Is there a way to bypass the warning?

True, but it's not apples to apples vs v2.14. There is a reduced limit in the newer version. About 20MB. I could comfortably add 290MB of ROMs, 50MB or cores, and still have room for 10MB+ of save states using v2.14. Not with 2.15.

Agreed. Although we have lost a little space the slightly reduced size works great and I've yet to get any of the memory crashes as on previous builds so I'm very happy with the progress ClusterM is making with hakchi.

I've got a load of mame2003 games (not the mame mini version), Fba Cps 2, megadrive, snes, pc engine, gba, gbc, nes, fds, snes, a couple psx rips plus fuse the zx spectrum emulator all installed and all are running great.

To get it to all working I think I just didn't upload Shock Troopers for Fba neo geo this time to save space. as that was about 20mb.

Happy days :)

How do you get the message that gives you the total for save states, other files etc?

When i click sync I only get the too many roms message.

I've seen it once but can't reproduce that message.

Have you updated to 2.15? "Too many roms" prompt was last seen on 2.12 or 2.13. The message will appear after your total capacity has reached over 300 MB, after updated into 2.15.

Bro @AndyVr, I used your color swap hmod, but my UI wasn't turning into red just like yours. The changes were blue background had changed into soft grey and there was no title shown on the title box. What did I miss?

Alrighty, I have my SNES games working again! I did a fresh install of Hakchi 2.15, along with retroarch, and it all works now. Mostly. The controller reset shortcut won't work, not sure why. I have it enabled and set to Down Select, tried with two controllers but it won't work. Anyone know why?

I was also thinking of adding some Neo Geo games, and I tried to add Metal Slug, but it didn't work. Since the zip contains mutiple files, I tried to add the zip itself. Didn't seem work. Anyone have step by step instructions on how to add Neo Geo games?

The new snes9x2010 core is not saving its configuration. It opens at "core provided" video every time, even though I set it to 1:1 (8x7) aspect ratio. I even save the configuration, but it reverts to stretched 4x3 "core provided" every time. Other emulators and cores save when I exit and re-enter.

Same thing happened to me when I did it. A beige background and no text in the black title box.

Hey I have a question, and if this isn't the place to ask I apologize. I added both Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel vs Street Fighter and in both cases The HULK is not green. He's kinda Caucasian or maybe just not colored in. All the other players are normal.

With Marvel Super Heroes the hulk is colored correctly. Is it a compatibly issue or a flaw with the ROM? If it's a known issue is there a version out there somewhere that hulk is green like normal?

Do you know how to configure Nestopia to use the RIGHT NES palette? I think in the last Retroarch update they included some colour palettes that are "more close to real NES" than the default one.

I added --retroarch to the "default command line" so right now I'm using nestopia with all NES games.
