Hello,

My son updated his 3ds to 11.3 systemnand.
We have a previous backup of the Nand.
Just wondering how we can downgrade then install CFW without a hardware mod?

Thanks

Assuming you have A9LH and a CFW that supports 11.3, there is no reason to go back to 11.2 or lower. But if you really want to go back use a recent NAND backup and restore it with Hourglass9 (Select the keep A9LH option).

How do i do this when 3ds is on 11.3 systemnand

launch Hourglass9 as a luma payload if you followed 3ds.guide its binded to start, select Sysnand backup/restore,select SysNAND restore(keep a9lh), select your recent 11.2 NAND backup and restore it.After that use your 3DS normally.
P.S.:Make a 11.3 NAND backup in case something goes wrong.

you can only install cfw after doing a hard mod downgrade or buying a new system or a new motherboard.

I read about a dsi downgrade or something like that

He has a NAND backup of the console that was updated. Can someone find the old DSiWare downgrade guide and link it? All he has to do then is restore his backup instead of modifying and flashing as the guide will say.

Edit : or even better, all of you comment in support on the issue I made in the repository a month or two ago requesting DSiWare hax be added back to the guide (purely for restoring a previous NAND backup) where Plailect was completely rude and dismissive of the suggestion.

I actually used them.
I guess I was the only one.
Aw sorry :-) And thanks! The best part of making something is when someone else gets some sort of benefit from it.
When the guide started using not the most recent version of apps (from the OTPless problems) the script I wrote couldn't really manage that - or at least not without me checking each time there was an update to the guide and adjusting it accordingly, which ran the risk of getting incorrect files in a package. So that was a good reason to retire it on its own. Good news is I've learned a lot from that so my subsequent projects will get better and better :-p

Good to hear. I used it a few times because there was some change in the Guide and I needed to look up something from the older version of the Guide and it was the easiest way to do it. Thanks for making it available at least while it lasted. Much appreciated.

Thanks for your help Quantumcat I still have not found a 100% guide that I am confident using.
